It isn't P2W by any definition unless your definition is "Time is P2W" Unless you can purchase an advantage that is otherwise unobtainable by simply playing the game, it isn't P2W. IE Max refine +10, cash shop has +15. That's P2W. Paying for in-game currency is nothing. Every MMO has that. Good MMOs are just finally taking advantage of it to benefit the game instead of chinese gold farmers.

So is this just a predominate PvP game? I'm more of a PvE so want to know if I should bother to play.

The saddest part about this game is the limited pvp, its immensly catered towards casuals. I moss the lineage 2 days where you battled for farming spots, or had 1v1 2v2 3v3 4v4 in the open worlds. Now its all a safe zone for the soft players. It sucks. I was really looking forward for this game to be the next replacement of lineage 2

Does the leather armor increase your staff damage as well or can I go heavy armor an be more defensive against melee but still put out damage with staff?

This game will be dead before a year. If this game have a larger population than a couple thousand players + bots after a year i will be surprised.

It falls under another game's revenue and they don't mention it's performance at all. So it saved itself indeed from the evil investors' gaze and grubby hands :P

The P2W doesn't bother me nearly as much as the possibility of bots. I understand they did something about it months ago, but haven't heard anything since.

I played the last beta test and it sucked, I'm sad there will be no more good mmorpgs.. ppl hyping this shit up is the problem with the gaming industry, srsly - why would they develop good games when people buy this crap or games that are not even finished nowadays?

Yeah, it might’ve improved, but its still a KR mmo, with A LOT of mob grinding to level up, and dailys that take up to 2 hours to complete every day.. and with that, its pay to win. Very bad for PvP mmo. A no thanks from me.

Really good video, subscribed for sure! But my friend, NCSoft is like blizzard, they have great ideas, but really bad management... What they are doing now is making the game better for sure, but It's now more pay to win than it was on release, because of the rune system. NCSoft lost money on this game, they're just trying to get it back somehow, they already started to stab deeper with the p2w knife, little by little it'll be like Lineage 2, Blade & Soul and Aion... All good games but with really bad management. I hope I'm wrong, I really do, because I like this game. But a game focused on PVP that is gear based, can't have p2w, It'll die if they don't make the changes needed. Normally they do, but just when it's too late.

Companies that make p2w MMORPGs simply don't care about their audience, they see their playerbase as wallets. MMORPGs become fun when being invested in them, I ain't gonna get invested into a p2w pile of boring tab target junk, just so they can lure out money from me. Have fun with your new cope game.
