MONSTER is one of the greatest anime ever. David Sylvian is one of the greatest singer-songwriter's ever. Those two factors alone make up this to be the most perfect combination ever.

I'm a longtime Siouxsie fan.......and I haven't heard this, until tonight. Wonderful atmosphere. So suited for her voice

On this half, we do get Ministry's Jesus Built My Hotrod, then some more of the Banshees' interview, in which they joke about going to dinner, and this being only the second time that Geffen had ever paid for their dinner (I remember them saying that, when I heard this live in '92). But alas, then it goes blank, and I guess I'll never hear the phone call from the young girl fan who had the meltdown when Siouxsie talked to her! Ah, well. I have it in memory, and the concert the following night made me a fan. Despite the missing chunks in both parts, I do thank you for this wonderful little trip down memory lane.

There seems to be a buffering problem (or something) here. The interview plays until about halfway through--around the time the band is joking about BART. I let it buffer to the end, but the recording still goes silent at the mid- point. Same seems to be the problem with part two. I actually remember this interview, as I heard it the night before the concert--which I went to. It was where I went from simply "liking" this band to becoming a fan. I still am. My songwriter wife and I even cover one of their songs. The most memorable part was later in the interview (in the part that won't play here) a young girl named Patrice (I think) called in, and the moment she heard Siouxsie talk to her, she had a rapturous meltdown, and started crying. Souxsie was very gracious and sweet, and asked if the girl was gong to the show "tomorrow night," and she was. Siouxsie asked what she'd be wearing, and the girl described it. My friend Ruby and I--up in the balcony, but close to the stage, did spot a girl or woman wearing a beautiful black Goth-ish costume that matched what was described in the interview. We never forgot this.
