Take Byzantine to the Next Level: By Marilyn Gardiner

Are you a chainmailler who knows the Byzantine Weave? Here's how to take your Byzantine skills to the next level.
Hello Ms. Gardiner. Three years ago, I sent in a question. In which part of your video are the ring sizes? Is there anyone that can answer my question? Thank you.

Thanks very much, Marilyn, this is very helpful. I now can see what I was doing wrong!
I found your video very helpful, but I had difficulty seeing the pattern in what I was trying because I was guessing at the size rings to use. That information would have been helpful or the AG ratio. Still have trouble starting but will not give up until I conquer it. It makes a great chain to add to my projects. Thank you. I eventually use 18 gauge 3 mm rings for AG 2.9.
Hello. This is a very hard weave to make, I like your tutorial, you are great. Is that copper what you used, what size rings for the 18, 16 and 14 gauge?. Thank you so much.
Would you please show how to start the necklace. Thank you
Go to about the middle of the video--that's where I show you how to start it.
Thank you for another fascinating video, Marilyn! You make the design process look so easy -- but of course you have put in the necessary 10,000+ hours that it takes to be a jewelry design guru. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, process and technique with us.
Thank you for another marvelous video. But I'm not a fan of Magnetic clasps on a bracelet without a chain attached. It will attach to other metals (especially in parking lots where they attach to the car next to their car or to the shopping cart.
Yes, perhaps they're better for necklaces---especially for anyone with mobility issues.
What a fascinating video, Marilyn! Isn't it *Wondrous* that a clasp can actually be a focal point for your chain maille design? Please keep working on your videos, as you have so much knowledge to share.
In my experience, the Byzantine Weave is the least stressful. These designs are simply elegant. I'm looking forward to your classes on Viperscale and also the explanation of Aspect Ratio.
You are the second person to request Viperscale--a lot of people have trouble with this one. It could be a couple of months before my video editing skills are ready for that one. Aspect Ratio--hmmm. check out item 3 here & see if that helps: marilyngardiner.com/support/student-resources/?v=3e8d115eb4b3
