@joshoptical posted a short video about the cool 80's Fender Stratocaster lock nut. This shows the "System III Tremelo" which may accompany it. It has fine tuners allowing tuning even with the headstock nut locked. Excellent setup, excellent guitar. My favorite in fact. #system3 #systemiii #tremelo #whammy

Relaxing Ambient jazz from my CD "Chemistry" released independently in 2000. This was #1 on MusicChoixe Soundscapes and still receives airplay on Sirius XM Spa channel. This originated as a four track cassette recording when I lived in Coconut Grove Florida a black from #montytrainers on Biscayne Bay, original 4 track recording 1992.

Glad you posted the original video @joshoptical posted about the lock nut. This has some details of the tremelo system that let's you tune even when the nut is locked.
Mine is an 85! Nut broke very soon after making that video. Got the Whammy Parts replacement.

@joshoptical thanks, I've always thought it was a one. I love that guitar. I looked last night, trying to find an 85 neck from a contemporary strat, but no dice. And I found one contemporary strat, looks nice but 1499. Too rich for my blood at thr moment unless I sold or traded something. Then I found an 85 strat contemporary, but not with humbuckers, it has a bridge humbucker, and two singles. But it's not the cool lock not. It's such a cool lock nut design
Sorry for the noises I was making, I was standing and shooting this with an s22 phone and was zoomed in, twisting my body and leaning back as it passed east to west. I knew if I took a step i would have lost it In the frame 😊
