yes it does! I play with a PS5 controller, the only problem is you have to use the touch screen to use the map or the crafting menus on the left side for certain things!

Thank you, it means a lot! And you can try the other modes aside from the builder mode I show in the video! You can try sandbox mode to adjust any of the settings, even take away all the zombies and just learn the game without any dangers and explore freely!

Yea man there’s also custom sandbox. I have 1000 hours and never play on the default modes. Custom sandbox lets you customize every little detail to make it easier but still challenging to your skill level. God bless. Great game!!

I use the default controls, but I map the back buttons for buttons such as the select button, the up and down and left keys to quickly access my weapons and other quick selection wheels! I also have the right trackpad to use as a mouse so I can exit out of items without having to physically touch the screen to exit items/boxes such as the map!

I was shooting a bit to show off the aiming/shooting and thought I could just find more ammo later on lol, and I use the PS5 controller when playing docked, I have the controls for the PS5 controller set to the default controls, but there are some times you have to use the mouse/touch screen to exit out of the map or some items, you can hold down the PlayStation 5 center button and use the top touch pad at the same time on the controller to use as a cursor, or instead of the touchpad, you can use the joystick!

yes, with windows! and yes, very easy to do! Just follow the youtube videos! if you don't like windows after using it, you can always remove the device that you have windows on and can always easily switch back to steam os!

Unless the 8Bit controller is a lot different from the PS5 controller, then it shouldn't be a problem! I use the PS5 controller and have no problem with any of the controls!

@@ringo2697 Awesome, man. I also learned that you can actually connect the controller (mine is connected via a USB dongle) + a mouse via bluetooth at the same time. I feel like some of the menu functionalities might be easier with a mouse assist. I'm not sure, I'm gonna have to try it. Great content, man. Made me really get into this game! Oh, and would it be possible to map the 'weapon wheel' to a controller? I some gameplays use the weapon wheel but I think they're on a keyboard/mouse combo, not a controller.

yes I have tried minecraft on the deck and it does run really well even with the mods I was using! I'll see about a minecraft playthrough!

Not at all actually, I have really high hopes for the game so I hope they improve on it, to me, it's mainly the random zombie spawns and the wacky hitting/hit boxes or combat!

HIGHLY recommend steam deck! Personally it's all I play on when I have other systems as well and you can take it on the go!

I have both! I find it waay easier to play with mouse an keyboard. But once you get use to using the steam deck controls an configure it how you like it. You do get used to it

I've honestly tried to get the game to play again, but nothing seems to work to get it to run unless streaming it from pc to steam deck! but I try and run most games natively without the use of dual booting!

@@ringo2697 I’ve heard that modding the deck to run windows or getting rid of the anticheat in certain ways helps? I’ve seen tutorials on RUclips for it

tweaking the back buttons should help! I mapped the back to buttons I use the most and it works out very good!

yes, I feel like all those 3 are pretty similar in a way! and yes you're able to play it offline!

It took me a bit to learn at the beginning because I was barely starting the game, but the back buttons help if you map them to buttons you use the most, I have mine mapped to my inventory and the selection wheel to access those quicker when getting chased by zomboids!

I run it from steam os! And yes the game runs very well! And I use an external capture card, but also use obs!

I use a Blue Yeti Mic, and also use the Logitech G Hub app to make the quality of the microphone sound better!

HIGHLY recommend!

I can't remember if I posted this video before or after the newer cards came out, but you could build off this deck with the newer healer cards such as fit as a fiddle and well rested!
