Live @ The Knitting Factory NY, The Old Office. 8/25/07 A song about gentrification, and a man's story of coming to terms with his role in it.

Sorry if you've seen me spamming OTMOP videos with this question, but I'm dying to know if anyone knows anything concerning the bassist's gear/tone. It's one of my favorite bass sounds ever. Dude is a monster and the sound is massive yet punchy. Defined and melodic but at the same time really aggressive and in your face. Based on pictures I guess he used a P-Bass, but if anyone knows if it's a newer or vintage, maple/rosewood neck, what amp, pickups, any eq or anything I would be very grateful to know. Geeky shit, I know.
Justin Vavala I never really saw Tom as a guy who cared that much about his choice in equipment. I could be wrong tho. From what I can remember a p-bass, a little bit of overdrive, and an SVT was his rig last time I got to see them. Playing adds too many variables that I doubt just having the right equipment can get you to nail the sound alone.
+_oe _o_e_ Sure. Thanks. I actually talked to the dude who recorded Where You Are and he informed me of pretty much the same with the addition of a Sansamp. I appreciate your reply though. Take care.
these guys are a class act. I offered them money to play this show as a fundraiser for the Make a Wish foundation as well as me and my friend's birthday party. At the end, they asked me to put their money to Make A Wish! After that, i was a fan for life . Long live OTMOP <3
your chance and my chance to see these guys just may happen in the near future
holy shit that performance was awesome!
they are BACK. they are definitely playing the Revelation Records 25th anniversary show in NYC, and they also said they will announce more shows!
