A guide showing how to set up the Behringer DEQ2496 to EQ the bass range of your hi-fi for more accurate sound, using the Auto Room Correction mode. You also need the Behringer ECM8000 mic and an XLR-XLR cable. The analog inputs and outputs have some distortion which you can see in the link below, and also how to improve it. Look at the bottom of the page for the distortion graph. www.behringer...

what a fabulous post, thank you. Very kind.
Many thanks! That was very useful.
What glue did u go with to seal that back?
Great job! 👍 Thanks for sharing.☺
did you experienced oil leakage surrounding that pcv area?
Can anyone help me with a firmware update please version 1
Where did you purchased this? I am in England.
How accurate did the dimensions of the new window glass have to be? It appeared to slide in pretty neatly. Unless it's a standard size they can work to.
So I have a question that I can’t fully figure out. My 08, r56, s, I got it used and it has this same cover on it. The left side is not connected to anything at all. I’m in the USA, so is that left side supposed to be attached, or have they potentially modified this? My issue is a lot of oil debris is getting thrown out the exhaust onto the back of my car
Thanks for taking time to make this video 😊
I work with Signature Home Improvements and if someone wants a cat flap we just install it free of charge on the day of installation
Fitted resistor to wires to sensor by top left hinge now fan runs with compressor
£96 is good. Found Medway on google - assuming it’s the same company and mentioned you and the £96. The guy laughed and said the glass alone would cost them more than £96. Well it was three years ago. I was quoted £170, and £185 by another company. You got a good deal there it seems.
Thanks, it hadn't occurred to me that I'd need a glass manufacturer to do the hole, but now seems completely obvious that's the only way to do it in double glazing! Good tutorial for removing the beads and putting back in.
Great video - now I understand how that all works 🙂
Fantastic and very thorough explanation of the R56 N14 PCV system. Thank you!
Hello! Can you help me please to find that guys who helped you with the new glass with hole for cat flap? Are you still in UK?
He mentions it in the video
you buy cheap crap of ebay you pay twice, buy oe or genuine
is this a EP6 engine? this valve cover looks similar to it
Glue used was Upol Tiger Seal as confirmed in comments
Awesome video, helps to fully understand how it works. Some time ago I plugged the passenger side of the PCV just like you, becouse it was making my engine super knocking.
Would this cause oil debris to fly out of the tail pipe and cover the back of the car?
@@p1sstoph3 in my case - no difference.
Great Video, I too have high oil consumption but I think its tired piston rings as I only get a puff of blue smoke after a long overrun and I know its not the turbo and the valve stem seals as I have changed them.
Nope not the piston rings, its the crappy PCV system. Check the hose that goes to the intake for cracks first and then install two catch cans. Once the engine burns all the oil you most likely have in the intercooler you'll stop blowing smoke. You'll probably also want to clean your intake valves.
If you're going to pay for new glass why not have a go at cutting it yourself?
can i use a rtv to put the cover back on or does it have to be some kind of plastic glue
Upol Tiger Seal
The big thing is a orange diaphragm and they can split which causes problems also. You can buy replacements i think 🤔
2.381mm balls inside 1605 ballnut
Thanks for that in depth video, I’m currently investigating a weird (I think) figure of -2.80% additive mixture correction on tickover so wondering if PCV is to blame 🤷🏼♂️
Just done an outside catio for our house cat. It is big lean to against back of house with double glazed windows. Fed up of having window open. What a find, your tutorial is awesome. This will work with windows as well. Great instructions and video.
Has anyone had any luck getting this done in the USA? Every single place I call - even custom glass companies - say that they don’t do insulated double glazed doors with premade holes for cat flaps.
Doing an instructional video with one hand.Well done, mate.👍🏻💯 Now that I've seen it done, with some patience this looks more straight forward than I'd imagined.
Actual GENIUS.
Thank you so much! I just spent the last 6 hours trying to repack one of those bastards.
After this modification my fridge star to use 20% more energy :(
But the pcv hose is after the maf sensor so why would it cause an unmetered air code?
Same with MX 2S.... My first Master MX didn't have this problem. I wonder if this is to do with cutting down the costs of production....
The large circular disk has another valve under it usually the main cause it gets gunked up sticks shut or open it shut fluctuate so oil doesn't come up most suffer with white gunk like a head gasket from huge rocker cover causing condensation so check that too it doesn't come open easily so buy a genuine new part will fix 99% of idling problems and gunked up inlet valves as the vapours burn on .. I put an extra oil catch in too works a treat
seasick after watching this please use a tripod next time
The genuine cover has hard flaps instead of the rubber round seals I must add the cover must be stuck down with so seriously strong glue as the valve nearest the timing change is pressurised to what boost pressure is good luck
Hi, I have seen some aftermarket aluminum valve cover, do you think aluminum valve cover would make any difference, as I think those can be disassembled and easy to replace pcv parts.
hello can it used for midrange like a dbx 3bx?
Does this thing preserve sound stage width . As mini dsp ruins it
Cool Video! - have added it to my Fav's...as i'm planning to get a Cat!.....the quotes i've had from 'Cat-Flap' fitters are so expensive...and unbelievable! - :(
Thanks for the theory of operation. 99% of other videos are the physical installation and removal. They just change parts without confirming it is not working (or how it is not). This video is a gold. Make more pls as u are well capable of understanding how things work.
hello .. the video is very interesting and I think you are the only one on RUclips that explains this problem and the operation of this valve cover and PCV ... I have also changed it as well as a plastic called polyamide because it withstands more heat but Unfortunately it comes with exactly the same problem...I want to ask you a question and I don't know if you remember the design of the valve correctly...instead of taking off the top cover, couldn't you push the valve with a screwdriver? the guide in the center of the valve is glued or is a joint piece and must be cut by obligation.... looking for a lot of information on this subject in some forum I have read that they come like this to avoid oil consumption and that the engine valves are not dirty ... in my car when starting in first gear I am noticing how the engine shakes a little then everything goes normally ... I have disassembled the tube that goes from the PCV to the turbo and everything is dry and clean...with the obd machine I get the same 2B64 code...could the engine be affected if it doesn't solve this? I await your response... greetings and thanks for your time
Superb and very informative thanks.. and thanks for no crapy music n crazy loud volume...... learnt exactly what I wanted to.. Thanks again
I wish i had come to your video instead of wasting last couple of days on random videos and instructions, a big thank you. Could you please confirm if you manage to seal the cover properly airtight before I damage mine.
This video lulled me to sleep
