The Secret to Mastering Your Short Game FAST! | UNCUT Wedge Practice
In this video I go over how I practice my wedge system on a daily basis at the golf dome during the winter time. Please be aware, that unfortunately because it is winter time here I am limit to practicing with the dome however this system can be applied everywhere. I do believe that in order to improve, you must be using some sort of technology in order to do so and the PRGR does just that without breaking the Bank. In a future video, I will be continuing the video about trackman vs PRGR to get actual distances from Sea Level and will showcase how I will be using those figures for the up and coming golf season. I have lots of videos planned, and am learning how to edit better and better e...

I think that "swing your swing" is great advice actually. None of us will ever be able to copy Tiger to the T just because of schedules, body composition, etc. But we can improve our own swing to get to our own "Tiger" swing
@@joe3683 Agreed, good way of putting it. Happy New Year
Get a saddle chair and thank me later
@@hddbugg Thanks for the suggestion, these would be good for an at home office
This video is amazing! I love the in depth explanation of the drills that you do to improve your swing! I cannot wait to see you shooting in the low 60s consistently and winning tournaments!
Hey Jett, I loved hearing your thoughts and reasoning behind why you do each drill. What you shared is pretty invaluable to a new golfer like me. Keep up the good work!
@@marvneoh502 Appreciate this! Glad to hear you started playing, when did you start?
@@JettTuchschererGolf I began three months ago and have been hitting the driving range at least once a week to work on my swing. In addition to lacking strength, I've noticed that my flexibility could use improvement, especially given the nature of my desk job. It might be something worth for you to address in future videos as well!
Do you manipulate the face at all to achieve certain numbers? I do half and 3/4 swings both square face and open face to achieve certain distances and ball flights. Was curious if I was the only one who does it this way.
@@ToeMosSVlogs Around the greens I will because I like using the slope and bounce, but right now with wedges I basically just play a stock flighted shot. Some of the best wedge players I know do that system tho I just find it hard for myself personally to control, especially an open face for some reason
Well, I gotta try it
Let me know how it goes!
Another thing that makes sense, that i gotta try...(new to the game btw...so no problem at all!
Right, so you're saying you're doing it poorly, but wait until next week when I can do it again? Umm… no.
Also, Launch monitors that are very sufficient for home use are available for far less than your hyperbolic $40k.
@@drumcatnau thank you for the comment, I need more shot data but yes I agree there’s lots of very good launch monitors on the market less than $40k
Takes alot of reps to get the club down into this position. Before i started to play professional golf my teacher had me hitting hundreds or thousands golf balls to get into the correct position. But it was worth it. Once you master the correct path you just start flushing your shots.
@@JeffreySmith-hx9hb Absolutely, it’s definitely not easy but it’ll be worth it. At this point the move is in now it’s about trusting it and striking it better… Where did you play professionally?
Super action! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

You have a very nice swing
@@Sicira Thank you!
Great content, I want to help you monetize your channel and reach more audience. If you are interested drop your email/number Thanks
Humbly, it is interesting how many more things you are accomplishing in the process; such as building great golf muscles and muscle memory and how to feel connected to your golf club in the process. It's no wonder why you strike the ball so fantastically.
@@joelbrooks814 I appreciate it! That’s exactly what I’m after and why I showcase these odd looking drills, I’m all about efficiency when it comes to training!
In my humble opinion, This drill is designed to ingrain the FEEL of a correct TRANSITION in the golf swing.
Why would you want to remove your right hand from the swing? It's literally the most important part. Is something going to change when you reintroduce it? The golf club can't be charmed into working properly.
@@HolyGrailOfGolf to prevent it from collapsing and over bending in transition. A video will be made on it in the future
This is a very common exercise for people with an overly active right hand in the downswing. Good next step would be to remove the aid and reintroduce the right hand without the thumb and pointer finger on the grip. Good luck with your swing change!
Oh the frustration of attempting to use a tool you don't truly understand. I know, everyone thinks they fully understand how the golf club work but in reality they do not which is why no instructor can actually tell you how it works - because they don't know. Once you do know, it's incredibly easy to use.
What is on your right hand? Half of a flip-flop?
@@AmsterDanTheAmerican it’s a swim paddle to feel proper right arm positioning

wow
What is the hand tool?
It is a swim paddle, very cheap tool on Amazon. I will provide a link in future videos but it is great for wrist positioning. Also helps with arm structure in the setup.
what is that hand tool device thingy?
It is a swim paddle, mainly for learning how to use left arm better and right arm positioning.
Just so happens I'm working on the same movements. Allow me to watch your progress.
Everyone shallows at slow speed that's why it's pointless doing this. Believe me I have the same issues lol
What is that on your right hand ? In my opinion only you can tell if this is helping or not. If it helps you improve go for it.
Are you just turning with the chest and shoulders, so the hands stay in front of the chest the whole time?
Could you elaborate a bit more on that thing you are using on your right hand ? I get the part with the slow motion swing as it’s way easier to control and feel the right movements I just don’t get the thing on the hand
Good question, absolutely. It is a hand paddle that is used in swimming. You could try without, but myself personally I don't like it (not to say it doesn't work). It helps me feel the right hand position much better, and in the downswing if you keep your hand on the club correctly its very hard to overbend your right elbow and it helps straighten it which is key to hitting the ball from the inside. Another drill that gets the same feeling is the split handed drill, but I find that it can be very hard on the body if done incorrectly.
@ thanks for the explanation, I do like the split hand drill but I also used to play hockey before :D
I'm no expert , but I think teeing the ball up after each shot is a good thing . A mini reset between shots .
I watched your previous videos to get an idea of what the “before” swing looks like and I am very confused. The original swing looks amazing. Why make this change?
It has to do with my right arm and eliminating back pain. In the course vlogs you can see it a bit better but my right arm collapses in the downswing, specifically in the transition where I get steep and because of that I can get really wild off of the tee and swipey with my irons. I can get the proper position after doing the drill for a bit, but for the move to actually become engrained without having to think about it I have to do a significant amount of reps. The after swing will have a much better right arm structure, but to the naked eye would be hard to see. I do plan on making a fairly in depth video in the future that will go through exactly why I am doing this and how it will help every golfer based off of my progression through the years. Thank you for the comment!
@ interesting. Thank you for the response. I’m not exactly sure by what you mean with the right arm collapsing, but regarding back pain, in my experience that comes from a posture issue and/or not maintaining proper posture throughout the swing. Have you tried first addressing that? Changing posture could have the desired effect you want on swing path. For every golfer wanting a flatter downswing, there is another getting stuck from the inside who would love to get the club back in front of them like you do. The grass may not be greener.
Posture is definitely part of the offseason training, my future video will address everything once the challenge is done. What is shown in these videos is the tip of the iceberg.
Interested to hear about this. I also get back pain, lower back, a lot of it due to poor mechanics
Low back pain is one of the mains reason why I am creating these videos,. Poor posture and bad mechanics from watching other RUclips instructors when I was younger really messed up my swing and I've been working out the faults for years. Hopefully other people can learn from my mistakes!
Hi, can i please talk to you?
Thank you for this video. After watching it, I went to my local driving range with my 3 wood. While attempting to mimic your action, never before have I felt so connected to my golf club. Slowing everything down to a snails pace, I felt what I was doing correctly; and perhaps more importantly, what I was doing incorrectly. MANY THANKS!
Absolutely, I am glad this is helping you. I will be posting these everyday for a follow along. In the future I’ll make a detailed video exactly why this helps
@JettTuchschererGolf I'll be watching!
very intresting, will try
FANTASTIC! Your slow motion reps have prompted me to examine every aspect of my flawed swing; which is going to make me better. THANKS!
That is incredible discipline. Every time i start a range session like this, I'm back into full swings after ball 5!! When you do this type of exercise, what is your strike like? Or are you not worried. I find it hard to continue a drill if the strike doesn't feel pure. Or is this simply, get the feel of the swing and the strike be damned?
I appreciate it. It can be tough, but I am committing to not worrying about the strike for at least 5000 reps because the motion is so new. After that mark, I will be implementing it into full swings where the strike will matter a bit more but still not as much.
You are committing to it consciously. But when you go to actually hit a shot your brain & body will unconsciously commit to whatever gets a good strike, and gets the ball near the target
Slow motion, perfect motion. We'll done!
Absolutely, perfect practice makes perfect!
Hardest shot in golf is the 2 foot kick in. Nice video. The grind continues.
Absolutely! Glad you enjoyed.
Your club did not follow the route in your warm up. Lame
@@BigHitter23 nope that will take a few thousand reps before that will happen. Thank you for the comment
Beautiful swing
Nice ballstrike. May I ask how new to golf you are? It looked solid but it looks like you're using a bit too much arms and coming from "inside and out" in the ball. Did it slice at the end?
@@ThaiLitzki thank you. I’ve been golfing for 15 years, this is just a drill to showcase how to shallow the club because I got too steep from back pain. I exclusively hit 5-10 yard draws with my irons, as much as I want to fade the ball it’s tough for myself. I will be posting an after video shortly but I want to show how this drill can help by doing it myself and how I performed it off the range.
@JettTuchschererGolf Ahh that's cool how you find a way to adapt.
Nice shot keep it up
