Dope. I’m making my first Mando now. I was a mechanic in the army 2011-17 so I got an idea to make one military-ish and since SW came out in 77, Vietnam era US army kind of stuck out. I’m going with a ‘Nam style pant and shirt flight suit with black boots and gloves. The armor pieces will be a little mix and match with more/heavier armor on my right side I’m doing a hammered steel base paint that shows on the edges with FDE on that for most of the armor pieces, then I’m doing burnt orange accents on the helmet and down the right side arm and leg. Wish me luck🤙🏻

Have you ever tried making a metal helmet? But with a clone helmet mould?

What would you recommend to glue and paint the silicone parts?

I'm approved as a V1 850 from way back in the day. Still a beautiful kit, not as sharp as the new stuff, but worth the extra couple of hours to be approved so quickly after the movie. I wouldn't trade it for the world!!

Make sure include a state of the art cooling system, decrease the weight by 40 to 50% aluminum ceramic Kevlar composite capable of stopping a 44 cal at max effective range. There’s a bunch of other stuff that can be improved like the urine collection system to have drinking water and the ammonia to power the microelectronics and servos of the suit. Almost there good overall design. You’ll see it in action in the summer of 2030! 😮😎✌️🖖😱

The 501st is a bad fucking joke. I've been a member for a year now. I submitted my costume for approval...four months ago! No response. No follow up. Zip! I posted a comment on my garrison forum about it and was given a very rude response. Fuck the 501st. I'm done.
