The Ojai Healers-“low down blue”

Playing on a really old 1920s guitar. Seeing some blues and using sly in the family stones record title songs as lyrics I don’t own that or the picture and I don’t want it!

Wanted to sing something kind of early Black Sabbath mixed with the band graveyard. When I get my computer, I’m gonna start making an awesome music. I improvise this so pitchy and stuff, whatever. Unexpected bigger lines that required more support that I didn’t set myself up for.

I do not own the lyrics on the chorus of this song. I finally learned how to use distortion without hurting my voice! I did hurt it a couple times doing it wrong but I got it. Wahooo!

Cover of this song. I so it own the lyrics to this song. I wanted to sound like the singer from rival sons. I like his vibrato kind of like jack white but not all creepy. Pretty cool. Dang allergies

This is a completely improvised song I created while being sick. 🤧 I was going for a Burt yauncth or Jethro Tull vibe I had the craziest dream last night
The Ojai healers- “The Gamble”

I was trying to do something that would be like the band traffic. My vocal cords are pretty swollen though because I was trying to do a bunch of distortion earlier sounding like Steve Marriott.

This is the first time that I could remember I just improvised lyrics as I was improvising the melody and everything else. Usually I would just mumble, but I was being bold and just making stuff up as I went along. I never did that before pretty cool. Very inspired by Bruce Dickinson without the distortion.

A quick song I wrote and record on my iPhone while being sick staying home from work. At first, I went to this song to sound like a seals and crofts song, but I didn’t keep that just did this. #classic country #songwriter

How to add some shuffle flavor to the blues
woo
Nice blues tune, it's got a bit of that classic blues vibe of the 1920s & 30s, also has a bit of a swamp blues vibe, nice job and awesome vocals! Keep on killin' in brother!!!🎸🎙️🎶🎶
Thanks, as you know it’s good to just put it out there. I’ve listened to your music all the way through and it’s good vibes.
Sounds good man, nice improv jam!
Thanks!
I love Greta Van Fleet ❤❤
😂😂😂😂😂
This is really good! Keep up the work
You've got a good voice man, I bet you can sing the crap out of some Tommy Shaw era Styx or some Doobie Brothers
Hey thanks, I got a vocal singing program I found on RUclips. It’s Eli prinsen vocal academy if you’re interested. I stay away from direct covers though because of copywrites. Thanks
Nice cover man!👍👍
Thank you, went out on limb
cool dude just keep practicing
Sounds awesome, great guitar playing! What is that effect you are using?
It’s a valvtronix by VOX, one of the smaller amps. I think it’s a harmonizer. Really good amp. The video is actually like, 9 years old or so. Off my old RUclips account
I can't decide if this is folk or metal. I guess folk metal it is. Pretty awesome though.
Yeah, like Jethro Tull. having sinus pressure gave made me sound more like him I think. Kind of hold the nose when not sick
This sounds really good, I do here some Traffic-esque sound in this, also reminded me a bit of the Doobie Brothers too. Not an easy vocal range to hit like Winwood. Have an awesome weekend man!
I love all the 60’s 70’s music. Pretty sure you relate to that. Thanks, getting over a slight flu. You too🎶🎸
This sounds great man, you can really play and sing well, very talented, you'd fit right in with all those counrty/folk singer/songwriters of the early-mid 70's, great sound!
Well shit, you never know what can happen when we keep playing. Thanks
Beautiful song man. Really well played and recorded.
Ahhh thanks
This is really good, you've got a great voice for this style, very nice music, extremely well done!👍🎸🎙️
Oh thanks for listing to it
Good job, reminds me a bit of Jim Croce!
Sounds great. The playing looks effortless like always
Thanks. Another old one from chico
This sounds awesome, I really like that effect, sounds like something from Yes👍
Very nice playing!👍🎸
This is so good. You should definitely do an album of this.
That’d be so fun, some collaborative songs too
Very nice!👍🎸
Hey, thank you
Cool effects, nice playing too!
Yeah it’s a vox valtronixs amp. It’s an interesting amp
I love this, I’m a fan of Gary and this gave me feeling ❤
Nice job, I definitely hear Slash but it sounds better to me
Well I had my moments I’ll say! Thank you I’ll take that compliment
Nice, funny how you've had that Les Paul and now that you do a Slash video you have a telecaster haha 🧐
This video is actually eight years old. When I was in Chico.
Fantastic Floydish jam here man! Great licks and riffs my friend! Sounds amazing too! New sub here.
Oh shit, well thank you.
had no idea a first act could sound so good, gah DAMN
Yeah, playing out of a valve state 2000 Marshall. It’s a good amp
that sound... holy shit man. Amazing. I have to say the thumbnail lowered my expectation but I am blown away. Great sound.
Beautiful music. Makes me want to chill in Arizona with some green tea for some reason..
Haha I tried to fix it in iMovie to put like a nice picture of like the beach or something, but didn’t work
Sounds very good, am I looking at an Arizona ice tea ?
Thank you. Unfortunately, yes ha ha.
Great tone. Guitar sounds great. Perfect sound for Floyd
good stuff
sweeet. I love Blackmore's melody. You inspired me to play some Blackmore's style. Moore is one of my favourites and it is funny because when I do, always mix it with Moore's style
Yeah, they kind of blend well. Thinking it now I could kind of hear Gary Moore style and Ritchie Blackmore being similar. And thanks
so real
That's great keep it up bro
Sick!! Hearing some Steve Vai too!
МОЛОДЕЦ
Lighten up. But kind of blues. Blues of a kind. Bravo! I up writing a song & just caught this @4:40am. Tks Vince James
Oh, I love songwriting too. Sounds like a good early morning.
Nice! Definitely a fun track to jam to, I can tell you had fun. I dig those volume swells, nice gain tone as well, may I ask what your gear setup is to achieve your tone?
It’s a Strat style dean guitar. they’re actually really inexpensive and really good playing. I’m using a line six on metal setting. Weird huh?
Excellent playing, I can definitely hear Gary's influence in the soloing, high energy, big bends and tons of passion, great job!
Hey thanks, damn Gary Moore was awsome on that Les Paul
Nice, I like your guitar strap with the weird looking Z's. Must be some tribal sign thing.
Haha wtf I was so confused haha
Really sweet jazz playing, very very nice!👍👍
You should get someone to drive you around town while you're shredding as loud as possible! Killer playing!
Haha imagine actually seeing that?
Nice rippin'! That's an awesome ESP, the necks in those are so ridiculously comfortable, good stuff!👍🔔
I know! You get it
Nice playing to this track, I really dig that LP with P90's, great sound!
Nice playing!!!
This is pressure 💪🏾
Love the way this sounds
Yeahhhh!!!
your soloing reminds me a lot of dimebag, so fast and smooth
Yeah the guitar really helps with that. It’s a easy neck. And thank you
