He yLiz and Pete--do you keep variegated threads running through all 3 of the pretensioner holes or drop down to 2 given the propensity of variegateds to sometimes break depending on the amount of dye in the thread?? And would you do all 3 pretensioner holes for the 80wt thread?? Thanks.

When I like to have a cotton look thread, I prefer Madeira Frosted Matt. It is a trilobal polyester machine embroidery thread from Madeira. Available in lots of colours and no lint at all. I have used it with a vintage quilt-top on my Avanté longarm.

I am looking for a replacement Mast Thread Telescoping for my bobbin winder. I ordered with the part number in my manual but what received was not correct, any ideas on where I might get one? Thank you in advance for your help. Kelcy

Hey Liz and Pete--just signed up for the Prostitcher basic class at the end of October. I purchased my machine about 18 months ago; will I need to upgrade my Prostitcher program or will the one that came with it still be ok?? thanks! Great video again this week. Thanks Liz and Pete. I religiously clean everything before loading a new quilt and oil with every new bobbin.

And does the bobbin cleaning apply to the Amara as well?? I recall instructions for oiling from the front, not the top???

How difficult is it to actually remove the main frame of the machine so you can get to the undercarriage for cleaning?? Is this best left to Derek and Sandra at maintenance time?? I'd be afraid of messing something up or dropping it due to the weight. Thanks.

Loved your discussion on baselining and saving. Would love to see a demonstration on the steps of how to shutdown and restart an edge to edge on the Amara. I use the drag and drop method. I am not comfortable shutting down and starting back up. For some reason, I must be missing a step or misunderstanding on how to do a certain step. I really appreciate all of the information you share. It has really helped me on my quilting journey.

Thank you for this video. I have trouble with my bobbins winding with the middle bulging while the top and bottom has less thread. How do I fix this problem besides guiding the thread with my finger as it’s winding? Also, how would I adjust the bobbin winder if I encounter spongy bobbins?

Thank you for your tutorials. New to Handiquilter Moxie XL on Loft frame but not new to longarm quilting. Needing to learn some new muscle memory after quilting on my previous setup for 12 years. I don't have access to the back of my frame...well, depending on how skinny I feel that day...do you have a suggestion for how to load on the Loft frame, set in low position, from the front with Red Snappers? I end up with my snappers in between the quilt sandwich when I get to the end...not easy to remove them...
