The Henry Moore Foundation was founded by the artist and his family in 1977 to encourage public appreciation of the visual arts. We run two venues, in Leeds and Hertfordshire, showing a mix of Moore’s own work and other sculpture.
Our aim is to make a hub for sculpture, connecting a global network of artists and scholars, continuing research into the art form and ensuring that sculpture is accessible and celebrated by a wide audience.

Brâncuşi, Britain and the Idea of Modern Sculpture
Просмотров 313Месяц назад
Brâncuşi is one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century, hailed by Henry Moore for stripping back sculpture’s centuries-old overgrowth and restoring its shape consciousness. Brâncuşi’s artistic innovations drew the attention of an international network of Modernist peers throughout his career, including in Britain, where his work was first exhibited in 1913. In more recent deca...

Hy gays🎉🎉❤
Ka dogay😅😢
Muy interesante. Gracias por el excelente contenido de arte
Thank you!
Excelente, en total acuerdo. La Escultura tiene esa ventaja o diferencia a la pintura. Muchas gracias
I am caming here directly from Potsdam, where an important show about Modilgiani is taking place at the beautiful Barberini Museum. Next to important borrows of important world museums, several works of Schiele ,Picasso , Kirchner , Klimt. I woder how it is that Brancusi was the omnipresent gost, never mentioned on a easy going visit of the show, never presented with even one work , and still I was looking at Amedeo and constantly seing the primordial concept on Constantin. Beautiful
😍👍🏾
Why do you even upload videos though no-one watch them
hay ke subirlo igual : )
Modern art & architecture is crap. We have more materials , tools and machinery to be able to produce things better and more accurately. Personally I feel that the “ artists & designers “ are not as skilful as they think they are. The true masters of art lived centuries ago and produced the greatest works of art with the most basic tools and materials. Anyone that pays millions for modern art has more money than sense .

Wonderful - Can't wait to visit and experience the refurbishment once you reopen!
Thanks, we're excited to welcome you back!
Compelling work, I like to think those are Koons s old basketballs.
Great conversation, shame I missed it live! And thanks for addressing the name pronunciation (as a fellow Romanian, the international pronunciation sounds terrible but I appreciate it's a lot easier!). Brancusi's playlist on spotify sounds like an excellent idea
🥱
British treasure
google Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim. Interesting parallels !
no thanks, no kebabs
Why bother to print the diacritical marks if you aren't going to pronounce them? I figure if you're gonna say bran-coo-see, just type Brancusi. Otherwise say brn-coosh or something.
Need me some brancussy
Nice
とても立派です💕 また芸術的です💕 すばらしい‼️
Why is this art? Sad. 😭
This "music" could relate to anything. !!! Henry moores great work deserves so much better than this reactionary woke cliches
I do hope you didn't pay too much for this "music"
very beautiful
so beautiful, such powerful and intentional work, in awe !
Thank you for sharing this fascinating conversation. The book accompanying the exhibition is excellent.

My favourite artist. I love him. I'm jealous. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic to find out more about him. Great video
listening to the speakers is such an insightful and calming experience! thank you for alllowing the world to witness this discussion
I pray someone is videotaping all of these images from different angles...??? I do wish I was there for an extended period to see these works in changing light and weather...Moore was and remains a phenomenon...
Great channel, glad I found your videos.
Thanks 😊
This stuff is alien. I feel like it’s going to attack me. Pounce.
Hello! I really get something out of Michaels work and have been looking at it for quite a while now. He already had an exhibition in Portugal a couple years ago but i didn't get to see it since i got to his work later on. I was meaning to ask if the Henry Moore Foundation could send a copy of the catalogue to Gulbenkian Foundation Library here in Lisbon or the Faculty of Fine arts (which has absolutely nothing on him) because at the moment there is only one catalogue available from Michael in a library here which is a shame. Best regards! Excelent and very rare interview from the one an only. Best regards
Hello there! Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, we don't have a catalogue available to send to the library. The artist made a deliberate decision not to create a traditional exhibition catalogue for the exhibition, as it allows viewers to engage with the artwork on a more personal and intimate level. For further inquiries, I recommend reaching out to the following galleries: Modern Art Gallery - modernart.net KOW Gallery, Berlin - www.kow-berlin.com/kow Andrew Kreps Gallery - www.andrewkreps.com I hope this is useful for you. Thanks.
big homie 💙
One of my favourite artist, A cryptical but inspiring work. Thank you for sharing !
Thank you for watching 🙂
really the greatest of our generation, thanks for uploading
This "art" is shit and shows how much corruption there is in the art world. He only gets to display his art because he graduated from a fancy university and teaches at another fancy university. If a working class person showed up with this garbage he would be told to kick rocks by the curators of this gallery. Pathetic.
I just found this video today and am really looking forward to watching it with full attentiveness (I'm literally saving it to savour for the right time). I'm a massive fan of Dr Elizabeth Johnson, we grew up together in 90's and it's really great to see her excelling in her chosen field. She was always a clever lass. Always moving towards her goals and the things she wanted to do in life, but never wanting to hurt people to get there. It's been about 20 years Lizzie I think? ..... Wishing you all the best sweet-pea. It would be lovely to catch up, but the balls in your court with that one....
Um Artista tão talentoso teve a infelicidade de ter a curadoria da Fundação em mãos preguiçosas. Lastimável!
Conhece o trabalho do Michael? De lastimável esta exposição não tem nada, só não é para todos os gostos. Faz parte.
So much of human existence is incorporated into your art practice and I love the way you push your materials showing that you can use anything to make art. I never tire of thinking about the concepts and feel your work is always valid regardless of the trends. You truly rock and can't wait to see what unfolds next.
