Open Map is like that (a scenario without loading game). Open World is with all the scenarios without loading (Sunset Valley, etc...). All cities together without loading game, that’s Open World.

The Sims 3 is Open Map, not Open World.

Reasons why the sims 3 is worse: Ugly. Sims look terrible. Really didnt age well. Sims cant do multiple things at once. Crashes even on the newest computer. Build mode is unnecessary difficult. Create a sim is hella laggy. Worlds are flat and ugly and boring. Despite being open. Most things in the world are rabbit holes, despite being open. Boring. My friend and I did sims 2,3 and 4 playthroughs. We never got into the sims 3 playthrough. Our other playthroughs got way more unhinged and funny way faster. Do we really care that much about cars or is it just out principle?

Been playing The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles or The Sims 3. Occasionaly The Sims 4.

The customization drew me in. The mods keep me coming back. Undoubtedly, TS3 has its optimization and routing issues, in addition to numerous annoying bugs, but even still I find myself enjoying the gameplay nonetheless. To all the TS3 modders out there, thank you for not giving up on this plumbob-shaped gem.

sims 3 will always have a special place in my heart. i also like that all the expansion packs used to be $20. now its $40 and you have to wait til everything goes on sale

it’s just so crazy to me that ppl say ts3 graphics are bad while simultaneously playing the sims 4 with reshade and custom content 😭 if you’re going to use reshade and cc in the sims 4 you might as well play the FAR superior game (ts3) i love the sims 3 graphics and only recently got reshade. i have NEVER had a problem with the graphics before and i don’t even see where the criticism comes from

I’ve never understood why almost everyone hated the S3’s graffics, they’re gorgeous, their worlds are more beautiful than S4 actually, I mean look at sunlit tides, island paradise or even Bridgeport. Yea maybe sims are a little uncanny valley but you can fix it with some cc, like s4.
