Edita’s Queen of the night from 1970 to 1988. She sang this role for almost 20 years and when comparing the first and the last recording, you can really hear her incredible vocal development! I own nothing.

This video is a GEM! There are hardly any behind-the-scenes videos like this of her. I just loved it! By the way if you're a fan you must read her book. It is deeply personal and beautiful. It's only in German but you can use Google image translate to read it. I absolutely loved it!
Todas son notables interpretaciones de un clásico de Rossini para sopranos! Su pirotecnia es espectacular y sin dudas es la “Reina de la Coloratura”!! Bien ganado el título! Agilidad y destreza, escalas ascendentes y descendentes, unida a su potencia en notas altas, son conmovedoras!. La primera versión - que no conocía- demuestra que en su plenitud hacia lo que quería y era capaz no solo de “sacarle todo el jugo” a las arias, sino de hacer versiones inmortales!!! QEPD!!!
