Mikolai the stand in banjo player really added to the performance of this song, The guy is amazing just standing in without much rehearsing and doing a great job. I hope they add him to the group.

These guys are so good because they play, sing and WRITE most of their own material. The overall sound and presentation is quite distinctive and unique. No other bluegrass group sounds quite like them.

A great band joined by an equally great banjo player. They do sound better and more bluegrass with the banjo player. Nice to hear that the band is gaining more exposure.

One of my favorite songs by the great Broken Compass. The addition of the incredible Nikolai on banjo really adds to their bluegrass sound.

Broken Compass is a group loaded with musical talent. Both their cover and original songs are excellent. I hope that one day they break out of Northern California and go national.

This group is a very different and unique sounding bluegrass band with shades of jazz thrown in. Not my favorite number that they play but the talent still shines through. How did they get together and where did they find young Mei Lin who IMO is a wonderful creative musician. She hardly ever just taps the strings with her violin bow always preferring to add little fill ins to every song. Great group.
