When the dragon is not at the bridge, it will show back up when you walk near the burned area on the bridge.

The Talisman is equipped like a weapon and is used to cast incantations.

Word of advice from one with dental issues... Go to the dentist and take care of the issue. It may be a pain and uncomfortable to boot, but you will be happier in the long run. Suck it up, boy-o, and take care of it!

To open the gate in the aqueduct, go to the Lower Undeadburg. Outside the boss fight area is a stair that will lead to that particular shortcut.

A thing to remember... The stronger you get, the weaker the enemies are as their levels do not change, whereas you get stronger.

The chests below Firelink Shrine are the stashed items of Petrus. Most important of which are the Homeward Bones.

Beyond you will find a forest, kill or avoid the mushroom enemies. There is a guarded chest with the Magic Ember and a route to Sif, a boss whose soul is used to create the Sword of Artorias useful vs. the ghosts in New Londo Ruins. (See Giant Blacksmith in wiki)

When you use the Crest of Artorius to open the door in Darkroot, run straight ahead until you reach a building. Go inside and talk to the cat. Agree to what it says. This will de-agro the enemies in the area.

Also good trades for Snuggly are: one of each of the mosses, dung pie, prism stone, lantern, etc.(see wiki)

The Cracked Red Eye Orb while useful for PVP is more useful as a trade item for Snuggly the Crow at the Undead Asylum as Snuggly will give good upgrade materials in return. (see wiki)

Wait on doing the Graveyard and Catacombs until you've reached Anor Londo.

Use the Basement key to access lower Undeadburg at the end of the bridge before the dragon. You will find the next Boss down there.

Also, it is effective for the hydra fight. After the hydra, reload the area and make your way around the lake and defeat the gold crystal golem to rescue a princess who has good magic for sale, namely Hidden Body, which is near-invisibility.

Blight Town is a nasty poisonous swamp that you don't want to be slowed down in!

The Rusted Iron Ring Will negate the slowness caused by walking in water and swampy areas.

When going down the lift from Undead Parish to Firelink Shrine there is a broken landing to step off onto. From this area you can roll off to a spot that is part of the buttress leading up to a stair that goes up to the crow's nest. On the way up the stairs there can be seen an item on the roof above where Petrus stands. This is a key that you need to access an area in the Undead Asylum for the item you could not reach at the beginning of the game. Get the key then repeat the lift route following the steps to the top where the crow's nest is. Curl into a ball and wait. The crow will come and take you back to the Undead Asylum. Be aware the enemies are stronger when you return and there are Black Knights. The Rusted Iron ring is what you are after, and get to your starting cell to pick up the Peculiar Doll to access an area later in the game.

Good fight vs. the gargoyles! The switch to the crossbow was clutch!

Green titanite can be obtained three ways. Farmed from the leeches in Blighttown or bought from the merchants in Sen's Fortress and Anor Londo. The weapons that Andre upgrades do Holy damage. The blacksmith in the Catacombs upgrades weapons to do Fire damage. The Catacombs is a place where you don't want to go unless you are a high-level character that can take a lot of punishment! A very dark place.

When you decide to take on an enemy that uses lightning, equip a wooden shield. It will negate a lot of the lightning damage.

If you haven't found it, the bonfire in Darkroot Garden is hidden behind the brick wall next to the sealed door.

Turning a boss soul into a weapon can't happen until you reach the blacksmith in Anor Londo, later in the game. Some boss weapons are cool, but that is the personal preference of the player. The only one I found useful was the Greatsword of Artorius (cursed version) as it kills ghosts.

I noticed that you still have the firekeeper's soul. Take the lift in the undead parish church (where the big enemy was). There are 2 doorways next to the stairs to the gargoyles, This lift goes to Firelink Shrine. There is a stairway down next to the Crestfallen Warrior (the sitting guy who complains). Down there you will find the firekeeper. Give her the soul to upgrade your flask.

I just missed the stream, darn it! The reason your crossbow did more damage than the bow was because the crossbow doesn't get any adjustment from your ability scores, whereas the bow does. The crossbow has a flat rate of damage which is based only on its upgrade modifier.

As you can tell, had to do a lot of babysitting for this one. Tried to make it as bearable as I could for you guys.

If you want your bow to be an effective weapon, upgrade it to +5(min) and get your Dex above 20.

Stay away from rats... they suck. Don't let the game frustrate you. Go into it with the knowledge you are going to die many, many, many times. That's ok though, it's part of the game. Try losing 90 million in a boss fight then dying on the way back to the fight! It happened to me on one run.

Summon Solaire: Use a humanity to become human first. Make it to the boss door and you will find a gold summon sign just outside it. Solaire can be summoned for four different boss fights. The summon signs only show up if you're human.

Your cat does that to get your attention. It is because you are giving attention to something that is not it. Before you stream, play with the kitty til its tired of it and wants to go nap.

The Butterfly will occasionally come down to the bridge to use the flowers to heal itself. This action makes for a good melee target if you don't have magic or a powerful ranged attack.

Get stronger = live longer!

The best defense for the butterfly is to roll against the wall facing it when it shoots its magic. Don't get too far to the side though. The aim point for the magic attack is your character's waist/chest. rolling in front of it when it fires will usually make the magic bolts hit the wall instead of you. In addition, if you are human, there is a summon sign for a spellcaster behind the plants at the bottom of the stairs leading to the butterfly. Very helpful, but you have to be human for the summon sign to show up.

An easy way to farm souls is by using the dragon. How? First reset the dragon. To do this follow your original path through Undead Burg past where you beat the Taurus Demon to the bridge. (As a side note, you can open the door at the end of the bridge with the Basement key. this door leads to Lower Undead Burg.) Anyway.. run onto the bridge as far as the burn mark then run back without delay as the dragon will fly in to try to ruin your day. Get to the short-cut stair, then down to the bonfire. Then it's up the ladder and stairs, run onto the bridge, turn immediately around and go back down. The dragon will flame all of the mobs on the bridge and you get the money. Rest at the fire then do it again. Each trip takes about 30 sec. and is worth 555 souls.

A key thing to remember is that the designers put a great many tools in the game for the player to use. Use them all! Magic, pyromancy, archery, etc. Don't lock yourself into one thing. Be versatile.
