But I'm confused regarding one thing - if before joining as an assistant professor in my field of study in Humanities I publish some collaborative papers in pure science ane commerce in high impact factor Scopus or Ugc care journals, will they remain valid for API valuation or calculations when I will join as an assistant professor in Humanities or social sciences?

Will they accept books written in vernacular

Important to mention pls also tell about the modification in publication criteria as per UGC notification of 16th Sep. 2019 in which peer reviewed journals can also be included for promotion and other purposes and not only UGC Care listed. It is available on UGC website

But sad part is PhD is mandatory for associate professor promotion in degree colleges. Actually they have to postpone the cutoff date by atleast 2023. For recruitment PhD is not mandatory up to 2023 bcz of covid. But why don't they postpone it for associate professor promotion? Anyway nice presentation
