Hey Yuliya, I have just come across some of your vlogs and enjoyed them, I couldn’t help but notice that you probably live in Fulya, and Beşiktaş in general and your habitat is mostly around Şişli, Osmanbey, Nişantaşı and the greater downtown as seen in videos, which I know has its advantages of easier moving around and being close to the attraction and business; it’s also awfully cramped, crowded and short of greenery, especially for a child. I would strongly recommend to explore more of Asian side, which you probably already did living here, but perhaps to think of moving to the other side where you and your family, particularly your daughter (btw that little blonde ball of cuteness is absolutely gorgeous!) would be much happy and cozier in areas like Kadıköy, Moda, Caddebostan or Suadiye, where you could enjoy living in abundance of green and blue by the promenade and even do watersports. Because for me, to live in Istanbul is to live in harmony with the sea, and that’s scarce in downtown and doesn’t really give the true Istanbul feeling. Just a little friendly local advice, as myself lived the expat life in many years in many countries I know how valuable it can be sometimes, Cheers and keep up✌🏻

Hi Yuliya , you can also take a "Museum Kart" with your living and working permite , so you pay very low for the Card and 1 year all Museums and entrances for many Palaces from Goverment are free for Visiting all around Türkiye :) In Izmir when you dont need furniture you pay for 2+1 12.000-15.000 TL in normal City Parts like Sirinyer-Buca or Bornova or sometimes in Karsiyaka ( but not sea side )

Buying Starbucks = dislike.. After all these months, some people are still buying Starbucks..

You should not live in Turkey or Istanbul.

That is wayyy too expensive for turkey. Mark my word, they are going to destroy their tourist sector if these prices will continue to be that way.

If You make less than 5k dollars in a month, It is non sense to live in istanbul

Thats a very nice video even for the Turkish citizens Yuliya, because Turkish bloggers makes it in TL which makes no sense after a while due to inflation. This is a timeless video that covers wide range products and services in Turkey, I even see the price of a pack of condoms over there 😂. Two thumps up! 👍👍

I was in Istanbul one year ago almost to the day.. I was shocked at how much the prices went up after the last I visited 5 years ago.. I stayed at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel Piyalepasa which is a stroll down from Galata Port but also a few local stores around the corner.. That gas station you did the clip in actually reminded me of the gas station across the road from the hotel.. Anyway, I found that prices have gone up significantly and there isn't much difference between local shop and tourist areas like Taksim square and Istiklal street.. etc.. But I noticed that the Eastern side is cheaper, specially food.. I also noticed that the quality of food there is much better.. And, most importantly, I made firends with a dog who went with me everywhere 😀 I should mention I live in Australia which is considered one of the highest income standards in the world and I still found Istanbul a little expensive, even comparable with Prague and Vienna.

You can find open pharmacies in the evening and at the weekends by searching " nöbetçi eczane" and click on the first link . After that choose which part of İstanbul you live in and after clicking the pharmacies will be listed with their name , telephone numbers and their location on the map.

All the negative except Inflation and smoking is any large city.

Next time you need a pharmacy during night or Sunday ( Saturdays pharmacies are OPEN) don’t go to the nearest pharmacy and look at the window. Go to Google and write Nöbetci Eczahane ( pharmacy on duty) and your district.

if you still live in Istanbul you can check the open pharmacy on the internet.

you need to say it spesifically that you want two seperate rooms lol or else they will give you one with two beds (iki kişilik) since its cheaper. anyways abla i enjoyed the video a lot :)

I am Turkish and i suggest you to move/escape from there. There will be 7,6 ms earthquake 100% and minimum 700 000 people will be killed. I sold my 2 flats there and escaped from this hell. And traffic and people and refugees are awful. The worst city in the world
