    We are a couple in the process of undergoing IVF with a donor egg in Spain. We found very disturbing research on the cancer risk in children born after Frozen Embryo Transfer.We found not just a single research study, but a whole body of evidence suggesting a strong likelihood of a lifelong cancer predisposition for our future child if we use Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET). We have even created a comprehensive 6-minute RUclips video at ruclips.net/video/LAqlu40BU7Q/видео.htmlsi=rjpg6879uog4xAon, where we've gathered all the evidence. The magnitude of possible cancer predisposition is comparable to living in a severely radiation-polluted area

    I did fresh transfer and got a positive blood test but the quantitative was rising down later 😢 and it got ruled out as a chemical pregnancy. I still got another 3 embryos and going the first frozen transfer next month and my test day is my birthday. Im praying everything goes good this time. Thank you for this doctor.

    Hello Doctor, I have a unique question and I haven't found the answer. A grade 4AA embryo from a prior retrieval, to be transferred during a second egg retrieval cycle. So, its euploid, genetically normal, removing that hurdle. If the lining looks good (Trilaminar and over 10mm), would it have a similar chance of success as a FET cycle?

      While I can't comment on your individual situation or provide medical advice online, if properly stored frozen embryos can be stored indefinitely. To date, the longest time a frozen embryo has been stored and used in a pregnancy is 27 years. If you have further questions, we have an embryo freezing page on our website at arizonafertility.com/fertility-preservation/embryo-freezing/ or you're welcome to contact us directly. Great question. The reality is that almost everyone has more than one or two embryos left over so we are always freezing some. The question is not, “are we freezing or not”, it is are we putting one back fresh and then freezing the rest or are we freezing them all. Good data now shows that putting an embryo in fresh decreases it’s potential to become a baby so that is why we don’t do it. The good news is that ARMS has many different financial programs to help your dreams of building your family. You can learn more by visiting my website: arizonafertility.com/ivf-costs-pricing

    Thank you Dr Moffitt, would your analysis change for older women ? I'm aged 44

    • @arizonareproductivemedicin8131
      @arizonareproductivemedicin8131 2 года назад

      Frozen embryo transfer during IVF has similar advantages across multiple age brackets, with the caveat that chances of success generally decline for women in their 40s compared to those in their 30s or 20s, regardless of fresh or frozen embryo transfer. There are no studies that I know of that analyze the freeze all strategy in older women but I suspect that the freeze all would be better because embryos from older women can grow slower so that the window of implantation has closed by the time they are ready to implant in a fresh cycle. However, fertility treatment recommendations take many factors into account, with age only being one factor. While I don't give medical advice online and can't comment on your individual situation, I do have openings for new patients and invite you to fill out an appointment request form for a virtual appointment on my website. arizonafertility.com/make-an-appointment. • @arizonareproductivemedicin8131
      @arizonareproductivemedicin8131 3 года назад

      Infertility and pregnancy loss can have many causes and be attributed to multiple factors. Additionally, every diagnostic test has a false positive rate, which could be the case in the situation you described. Since a diagnostic laparoscopy is considered the gold standard, if that was completely normal in one of my patients, then I would proceed as if she did not have endometriosis. While I don't give medical advice online and can't comment on your individual situation, I do have openings for new patients and invite you to fill out an appointment request form on my website. arizonafertility.com/make-an-appointment

    Hello, is it fair to compare Covid-19 to Influenza when Covid is caused by one virus strain and influenza is caused by several? Wouldn't it be more fair to compare SARS-cov2 to H1N1 and see how they compare in terms of infection rate, mortality, and common symptoms? Thank you

    • @arizonareproductivemedicin8131
      @arizonareproductivemedicin8131 4 года назад

      In this video we compare the epidemiologic parameters of the IFR = Infection fatality rate and the Ro = the number of people an infected person infects. These parameters are meant to be used to compare infectious pathogens.

  • @stevenorman7731
    @stevenorman7731 4 года назад

    It’s more infectious but not more deadly. What are we supposed to do about it? Isolate it into oblivion? I see no scientific evidence that this is possible. The data shows that it spreads regardless. Our worst case in the USA has been in NY. Yet even they didn’t need the extra beds provided by the medical ship, nor at the convention center, nor the field hospital built in Central Park. Case loads got high but not higher than capacity of existing structures already in place. Ventilators were an issue but that was resolved. Fear of catching SARS-cov2 is driving mass hysteria. Are we (humans) exempt from viruses that arise? Shall we give up freedom in exchange for medical security? I do not agree that we ought to quit living because of fear of dying.

    • @arizonareproductivemedicin8131
      @arizonareproductivemedicin8131 4 года назад

      There are three types of flu viruses: A, B, and C. Type A and B cause the annual influenza epidemics that have up to 20% of the population sniffling, aching, coughing, and running high fevers. Type C also causes flu; however, type C flu symptoms are much less severe.

    This was extremely interesting and informative. I appreciated the fact that you backed up all your opinions with statistics. This is probably the most unbiased presentation I have seen. However, there is one BIG problem with your conclusion: Americans do whatever they want and refuse to be told by anyone (including the government)what to do. I have been walking around the area where I live every day for the past 3 weeks. And only 1 person (that's me!!!!) has been wearing a mask!!!! As we have seen in the past week, Americans are readily willing to ignore the law to protest and to do whatever they think is within their rights - regardless of anyone else involved. I'm beginning to think Democracy is not all that it is cracked up to be.

    So what do you suggest for the dentist who needs to work in your mouth and can’t implement universal masking always and for most of the time spent with you? Or me as an esthetician who performs facial services ? I can shorten my service time to take away the fluff but I will still need to work 1-2ft face to face with clients for 30-45 minutes with the client not able to wear a mask, because of product applications.

    • @arizonareproductivemedicin8131
      @arizonareproductivemedicin8131 4 года назад

      I have a video specifically about universal masking (here: ruclips.net/video/Npa1QpEwM_E/видео.html), but here is the bottom line. For the dentist it is more of an issue. The patient needs to have their mouth open and is directly exposing the dentist or anyone else that is in their mouth. The dental clinician must therefore wear an N95 mask with a face shield. They are in short supply but the supply is getting better (for example, I just found really affordable face shields on Amazon). An N95 mask can be worn using a CDC approved “extended use” combined with a “reuse” protocol. “Extended” use means that you can wear it for multiple encounters. “Reuse” means that you can use it for multiple days. The number of days can be up to 5 days. Just store the mask in a brown paper bag with care to make sure that no contact from the outside surface of the mask is transferred to the inside of the mask. After that the N95 mask can be resterilized up to three times using “MGS” which stands for Microwave Generated Steam. This is very simple and I am going to make a video of this next. Basically you take a disposable ziploc plastic storage container (like what you would store a sandwich in) and poke the lid with a bunch of holes (~90) and then fill it halfway with water. Place the mask outside surface on the lid that is on the base that has the water and run on power level 10 for 2 minutes. For estheticians, it is a little easier if the service you're performing allows your client to wear a mask (for example eyelash extensions). As long as your client is wearing a mask that fits well around the nose and mouth then you can get by with a regular cloth mask that is readily available. If you could get an N95 mask that would be better for the services in which your client cannot wear their own mask. In these situations I would recommend that you follow the same masking guidelines that I recommended for a dentist. Hope this helps and stay safe!

    A large part of a man's sense of masculinity is tied up in believing he is virile and his sperm is potent. Discovering that he is the main cause of the inability to conceive naturally can be a huge blow to his ego. Hearing his sperm count is low or his sperm are irregularly shaped and/or have low motility is crushing for most men. They come to see themselves as inadequate husbands or lovers because they are not able to provide their female partner with a child. If the woman in the couple is desperate for a child and really struggling with their inability to conceive. They may start spending a lot of time away from home because they cannot bear to see the disappointment on their partner's face regarding their lack of having a baby. If a man who is infertile is allowed to continue on like this it can wreck most of the relationships in his life. If your old activities are painful, maybe all your friends are parents now, look for new diversions. If hiking sounds appealing, do that. Or take a class in painting, dance, or something else that's always interested you. And remember, laughter really is the best medicine. See a funny movie, head out to a comedy club, or reread your favorite funny novel. But also some therapy can help. Especially if the couple attends such together. Personally it did help me and my husband at Bio tex.
