Points of View Look, it's happened once again It happens every now and then Feeling the hurt and hating all the men Ready to stop it all That's when I need a friendly face To see me through these lonely days Just to put some sunshine in my place Don't take too long I need you REFRAIN: Here I am I haven't gone that far away And since I am That kind of friend you know Would stay with you through ...
Thank you Scott Hahn for renewing my faith
Lead Kindly Light x
powerful, touching!
❤Thank you Lord Jesus and Immaculate Mary for the Catholic Teaching and precious heart of your spiritual son Dr. Scott Hann ❤🌷⚘️💒⚘️⚘️⚘️
Although Mother Church teaches that purgatory exists between death and eternal life, urging us to pray for those who have passed so they may attain everlasting life, I have sometimes turned to Catholic practices like daily Mass and contemplative prayer as an escape from my responsibilities and relationships. Yet, even in moments of weakness, I find strength in Jesus Christ, my eternal support. When He empowers me to show up, suit up, and serve, I often discover renewed direction in my life. I view the period between the "dark night" and the "new dawn" as a kind of purgatory, a transformative space where I can grow in faith and purpose.
I find Jesus in the person of the Holy Spirit, who came to live in me the day I was born again. He is with me all the time. He never leaves me. He said He’d be with me till the end. I feel His love and power when He walks with me through good times and bad. I hear His voice in the Holy Scriptures and in music. Sometimes I just hear His sweet voice in my heart. When I eat the bread I remember with love and gratitude how He gave Himself over to physical/mental torture to heal me, and when I drink the wine, I am reminded that I am His betrothed, cleansed by His blood, watching and waiting for the day when He will come for me and take me home. Hallelujah!
Are you receiving the Real Presence of Christ or a symbol?
Amen
This lecture is an introduction to Scott Hahn's book, _Lamb's Supper: the Mass As Heaven On Earth._ It is worth your time, and having listened to this talk will help. The book is worth your time, but I should warn you that the author does indulge in puns and word play which might prompt some eye rolling and groaning, but to be fair they do serve the purpose of making the points discussed more memorable. Some examples: Guided Missal, _Todah_ Recall, or Zion Aura (read it aloud you will not thamk me).
You guys have everything wrong no wonder it was written for us real believer's and teal chosen people
“U” R in a great Place. Thank You 🙏 sharing. God is blessing YOU
He needs to qualify his jew catagory statement to faithful jews and Israelites following God's prescribed order, as-opposed-to the larger faction of the pagan (pre-talmudic) jews (rejecting it) who were warring with them, persecuting and killing their faithful followers, priests and prophets off. They were NEVER (just like now) one uniform amorphous group.
Simply beautiful
This is so beautifully explained. Thank you for opening the eyes of many. You are a gift to our spiritual lives. May God Bless You 🙏
His enthusiasm is contagious. Why are we all not this enthusiastic about going to mass?
He speaks of Lumen gentium at 1:48 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumen_gentium#:~:text=Lumen%20gentium%2C%20the%20Dogmatic%20Constitution,vote%20of%202%2C151%20to%205.
New saint Augustine on the pipeline
It's been lately that a Protestant who may be well versed in the scriptures and then convert, make very strong Catholics. They are able to verify all that the mass is about! That is beautiful and thankful for this lecture.

God bless you Dr Scott Hahn. I am a revert to the Catholic Church. Raised in the Church of England. Married a young man in the U.S. Military. His family very strict Methodist. I lived with them a year while he served in Vietnam. Hardest year of my life. Missed England very much. Meet lovely people of the Catholic faith. Converted to the Catholic Church. Unfortunately fell away for about 19yrs. Made my journey back to the Catholic nearly 10yrs ago. Thanks to EWTN. The Journey Home. Would love to read your books. Not sure wear I can buy them. Lots of Love and blessing to you and your dear wife Kimberly. From Diane.🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
Praise God
And we will drink 4th cup together with him in heaven like he said. Jesus said to them( James/John) , "The chalice that I drink, you will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized; but to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give but is for those for whom it has been prepared."
Dear Dr. Hahn, I am so glad that you have made "turning down pride and finding mercy" the story of your life. You have given so much to so many! Thank you, and God bless you!! I know it is difficult, but thank you for your continued humility and for your remaining a faithful servant of the Bride of Christ.
Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. We offer you the most precious blood, body, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ present in all the Tabernacles in the world in reparation for the outrages, sacrilege and indifference for which He Himself is so offended. And through the infinite merits of his most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary we beg of you the conversion of poor sinners. Amen!
Thank you Dr. Hahn. What a beautiful reflection on the 2,000 year old teaching of Jesus Christ and the Eucharist that he left his disciples in the Catholic Church.
I’m here for homework
Jesus 🙏
Nice story about turning down Pride to find Mercy 2:00
Thank you Dr. Hahn for strengthening our faith
The whole issue is the “Eucharist” doesn’t exist. The “given thanks” isn’t Jesus.
The eucharist the catholic dogma of Transubstantiation it was invented in 1551!
Our parish priest always said that the Eucharist is Heaven on Earth.. Didn't make any sense til I heard Dr. Hahn explain. Thank you.
the eucharist/mass wasn't even practiced until the the 12th or even the 15th century.
Hahaha, good luck with that lie :)
Oh, you sweet summer child.
the mass/eucharist was not even practiced until either the 12th, or 15th century, depending on which historian you believe. the last supper was NOT a catholic mass/eucharist, it was done simply "in remembrance" of Christ.
In the early church it was called “ gather the people, listen to word and break the bread” it is a journey with Jesus on the Road to Emmaus.. God bless you.🙏
St Justin Martyr describes the catholic mass to the emperor Antonius Pius in 155ad. Take an early Christian to a catholic mass and even if he doesn't speak the language he will know what is going on. Take him to a protestant service and he'll be lost completely. St Ignatius of Antioch ( disciple of John) writes in 110 ad, on his way to be martyred that the eucharist is the actual body of Christ and decries those who think otherwise.
@@manuelpompa-u5e One of the first masses was Jesus on the Road to Emmaus. Luke 24: 13 -35. Jesus walks with the disciples and teaches them the Psalms, about the Old and New Testament and the fulfilment of the Law. Luke 24: 30-35 30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” 33 They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together 34 and saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.” 35 Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.” In the Eucharist we recognise Jesus in a supernatural way because that is wad Jesus asked us for do.. He broke bread and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you: do this in remembrance of Me.”Jesus we trust in you🙏
the eucharist is a wicked re-sacrifice of Christ. Christ's death on the cross was enough for salvation. the roman catholic church rejects this, and claims works, roman catholic church traditions (which don't match the early Christian church's traditions) and the magisterium are necessary for salvation. THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH REJECTS THAT CHRIST'S DEATH ON THE CROSS WAS ENOUGH FOR SALVATION. WHAT MORE DO I HAVE TO SAY?
It's obvious your knowledge of the scripture & Christian faith is very limited, and I understand why, as some of the doctrines are hard to comprehend. Watching a few videos by Dr John Bergsma, Dr Keith Nester, Dr David Anders, Dr Trent Horn or professor Douglas Beaumont will certainly benefit you, as these guys have spent many years researching & studying the Christian faith. Peace
you are an abomination to Christ. the eucharist denies that salvation is through Christ alone. salvation is by faith through grace in Jesus Christ alone.
Thank you!
oh Scotty baby. You sir, are a funny old dude, bro
Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for giving us Dr Hahn. You are such a blessing.
John 6:63
He was with us but not among us.
Simply beautiful! God bless one of the greatest catholic scholar of our time.
Scott Hanh is a gift to the catholic church.
16 For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.” He will not east AGAIN, implying he ate of the passover meal and then he said 17 After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you. 18 For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” Here the again is also there but when u check the greek there is no implication that he partook of the cup. Rather the opposite seems to be the case. And so he ate of the passover meal and said no longer will i eat but when he took the cup he gave it to them not partaking untill.... It was finishing
This could go into the next Catechism
