I personally think that manga would be a fine suggestion. Folks who are inherently against manga simply because it's a comic or foreign language need to open their minds, in my opinion, and I think manga suggestions would be totally fine. Somebody can choose not to consume if it isn't to their tastes, but I think suggesting manga is fine. There's so much diversity of genre and storytelling within that medium that you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wouldn't like any manga. Great art is great art, imo.

I'll leave you an additional comment, not just the joke about the Steve content. I did actually sub to your channel. As a fellow smaller content creator (I've got a little under 2k subs) I understand the difficulties of getting content off the ground and the emptiness of the void when it feels like you're reaching out and nobody is listening. It's brutal and difficult, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. The algorithm happened to suggest your channel (I have mine set to encourage smaller channels), and I'm glad it did, because I enjoyed this video and did subscribe. I look forward to continuing to hear your thoughts about the books you read and wish you plenty of success. As far as what I'm reading right now, I haven't had much time for pleasure reading, but last month I read a compendium on the history of India as it relates to religious philosophy. It was interesting to see how much of the conservative propaganda in India is in relation to its refutation of colonial historical narrative, even if the evidence might point slightly towards the arguments of the latter. However, the biases of Western authors obviously need to be considered in such a work. No plans for major reading in the next month between my channel and two jobs. I've been currently playing through Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, which while a video game, is narrative driven and amounts to mostly reading, so that has supplanted my reading list as I try to get through the game. It's a free game, but also insanely massive, and given the tendency of free games to disappear and become lost media, I'm trying to get through the narrative while I still have the opportunity. It's a shame that so many video games aren't just books because I feel the latter medium has greater longevity and less of a barrier to entry. However, I've been moved to tears multiple times by Another Eden, so I'm grateful for taking the time to consume the tale. So, yeah. That's my reading update and a more elaborate comment. Feel free to hang out on my channel if you want to hear me talk about video game narratives, review 500 year old Chinese novels or talk about music like Thin Lizzy and Taylor Swift. Cheers!
