OK, I have a questions, I created a golden gradient but I want to outline or vectorize this artwork the gold effect is not. Why is that? What am I doing wrong?

I followed this tutorial but than I realized I could not find a easy way to put this on my website. I needed a decent sized piece of text to be golden gradient. So I used html code to make the text golden gradient. I think if I used a object like this it would not fit on my homepage. It's also not going to be easy to read on a phone. Not sure how to implement this to a website
