Microsoft Return to the Workplace Solution - Demo

In this video, Abe Saldana will be demoing Microsoft's Return to the Workplace solution, built on the Power Platform. Relevant links: Landing page: powerplatform.microsoft.com/en-us/return-to-the-workplace/ Documentation: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/industry/return-to-workplace/overview
PowerApp and similar options out there still look so childish and inferior compared to a well built database in Access... They all offer migrating MS Access data to Web - and it pretty much stops there! Tons of "experts" are trying to convince us that, once data are migrated, we can build full blown online database application, while in reality it is still a few very basic data entry forms. For any slightly more demanding (leave alone complex) data manipulation, any complex forms or reports - just go back to Access...
yes i too am not impressed with MS. They seem just to be going backwards , weird !
Thank you so much for this video. Question, once I add data in the app it doesn't go directly into MS Access, I need to close access and reopen it to see the new information. Is there a way around this?
I am wanting to learn what's in your video, but all the text is so out of focus I cant really see what you're doing 😟😟
Merci, Merci, merci beaucoup. Thanks very much.
0:52 this reminds me of the old Steve Martin Joke - how to make a million dollars and never pay taxes. Do you have a video on how to start from scratch from powerapps for people who never even have heard of power apps before?
when i added access file it said "Invalid credentials. (Session ID: a1ad0b77-4f0d-45de-87d0-9b036cad500f, Region: us)"
Is Power App a Microsoft product? I don't see it in my MS 365 account.....
It is a microsoft product - here's the link: powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/
Pls help us create video on connecting ms access to dataverse in power app. Ms access as front end and dataverse power app as back end. Pls educate us. Thanks
Hey did you get through with this?
Pls how can one connect ms access to dataverse
Take a look at this announcement - I think it's what you're looking for: powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-power-apps-microsoft-access-security-mobility-new-experiences/?msclkid=17b7d5e8d12b11ec8cc3595346ead605
Improve on the zooming, hard to view video on phone
Appreciate the feedback.
Your problem, not his
Is that paid or free to use such one
Can I instead use a form which I use to express data can I export the form that expresses the data
I don't know what you wanna let I know.
will the updated data reflected into MS access db?
No, the data doesn’t travel backwards. It flows from AccessDB to Dataverse
@@eltepusunny Does it now?
Sune, do you have a video on how to import customize msaccess forms (data entry, search, view, filter) into PowerApps? Have you ever tried importing the forms themselves (rather than recreating them?) Much Thanks!
Great questions, Steven. I'm not aware of a way to directly import Access forms into PowerApps currently. Frankly it doesn't take very long to build out the app once you have the back end in Dataverse. Check out this video - it's now easier to import Access dbs into Dataverse (including relationships between tables, etc.) docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/data-platform/migrate-access-to-dataverse ruclips.net/video/11B99ynVwZ4/видео.html
Really good video, within powerapps how do you enable the filter to search list items?
Thanks for the feedback! Check out this doc for enabling the filter: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/show-images-text-gallery-sort-filter#:~:text=Show%2C%20sort%2C%20and%20filter%20data%20in%20a%20Power,descending%20order.%20...%204%20Tips%20and%20Tricks.%20
Thank you very much. I still need to check if I have to license the On premise gateway. I subscribed to Office 365 E3.
thanks for sharing, i am facing problem with data geteway, how can i fix that after giving the location of my access database. thanks
What’s the problem you’re facing?
@@eltepusunny after uploading a database from one drive, at the gate way cell its says oled provider may be needed
Thanks Sunny for the intro and Uploading this demo!, for Return to Workplace release 1.4
