I liked that St Austell has its own song. You should of done more trips out, maybe to the spar for some Tampax or Asda for a bag of crisps.

Thanks for the memories I was born in that town in 1954 and move to the USA in 1973. I have been back a few times but this reminded me of my youth. Again Thanks.

I lived here in the 1970s on the 10th floor until Thorn park was built. Many fond memories of the lovely park that was there to play in.

WOW!, Some great memories. Things have changed...and not for the better. How, and why, did the people of the town allow the ODEON/Film Centre to be destroyed in the name of 're-generation'? Tragic waste of a landmark, iconic building. Shame on them.

Thank you for posting these photos. I was doing some family research of my last name, and we are from cornwall. "Butson" is our name. And since I was a child I have been fascinated by ocean and old buildings and boats. I think Cornwall is in my blood and calling me. I live here in Nashville tn. USA. I would love to come and visit Cornwall before I leave this world.
