The Chinese don’t hear the positive sides of capitalism. And Americans are often painted as the enemy. Conversely Americans don’t hear the positive sides of the Chinese economy such as affordable healthcare, and no property tax on houses owned. America often paints the Chinese as an enemy but by simply talking to them, many Americans have learned that the Chinese are just normal humans and we don’t have any disagreement with them. Not too complicated. Once you find the US embassy website, you can submit all of the proper documentation and citizenship should be pretty easy.

We did travel with a car seat. It’s free to check a car seat on your flight. Once in Bangkok, we used trains as much as possible or we had our own rented car to use the car seat. I do know that some people will bring the car seat into taxis as well and keep it with them when they go out. But this would be pretty difficult if you’re going to touristy spots.

Yes, when you land, go to arrivals. I’m not sure about checking another bag. Everything we bought was able to fit in our carry on bag so it wasn’t an issue. I imagine not because it’s not the entire flight that you paid for but I’m not sure about that.

If that’s all you get from Thailand, you missed it entirely. It’s a shame that people don’t often experience real Thailand. It is great for raising kids!

My job is a teacher at an international school. The goal of the school is to teach quality English to Thai children so the school hires native English speakers from various places around the world.

Thailand is so nice! So happy we live here and get to raise our kids here!

I teach at an international school and I have a decent income. It would not support me in the US but it’s more than enough to live on in Thailand. If you’re moving here by yourself, you could survive on $12,000 usd annually. We aren’t fluent in Thai. We had the same problem learning before coming here. Now that we live here, we’re picking up on the language much faster because we hear it daily. We don’t have “permanent residence” but we do have a visa that allows us to live here for a year at a time with certain conditions. We can then extend that visa. I recommend hiring someone to do all of your visa paperwork for you because it is complicated. Citizenship would basically be impossible unless you are born to a Thai citizen. Hope this helps! Do you think they would hire me at a grocery store in some way? Even though I barely speak Thai, I have retail experience. Sorry for all the questions, I’m just really nervous.

Yes, you would need a degree to teach at a school but you don’t need an education degree. For other jobs I’m not as familiar but it would have to be a job where they wouldn’t be able to hire a Thai person. So they wouldn’t hire you at just any place. It’s very specific where they would hire you and allow you to live and work here.
