Hello, I have the exact same set up as you with the 200 cell cat converter. Have you managed to pass emissions on MOT with this Cat? I have mine soon and I’m not sure.

Classic mx5 battle, my mk1 actually lets in via the bottom of the rear window, looks like the glass is loose in the soft top. (reckon I did this to myself cleaning the moss out!) I did try to repair it with gorilla glue, but it doesn’t seem to stick properly, I will update if I fix it

FYI not head lights at rear, they are called tail lights, head lights are at the front

Headlights can be repaired with sanding and buffing fyi. Then clear coat if you care about not having to keep up maintenance

Love it, the R53 is such an underrated car! The stock intercooler should be OK unless you plan to track it and hitting top speed for a long period of time. Airtec or GRS would be the best options if you want to replace it. You could also look at setting up some kind of meth spray onto the intercooler instead, or if you're feeling flush a charge cooler. I wouldn't worry about mapping it unless you are making a lot more power (i.e. replacing the cam etc). Replace the run-flats if it still has them it will improve ride a lot. The only "hot air intakes" are the ones like the RamAir intake, if you get something like the Orranje stealth intake you drill into the cabin so it takes in much cooler air. All the best.

No bro his wrong in fact they can be brought back to life. If they're really yellow with oxidation then best to dry sand with 500-600 grit first. I would then start at 800grit sand paper dry sand that too. Then 1200 grit wet sanding. After that 1500grit wet sanding. Then 2000grit wet sand wash it down wipe clean and then lastly 3000 grit wet sand. Once surface is nice and smooth but foggy I'll grab the buff machine and use the Meguiars Ultimate Compound with a Cutting Pad. And then finish it off with the Meguiars Ultimate Polish with a buffing foam pad. Wipe it down with a micro fibre cloth then you're ready for the final stage which is applying a Ceramic UV Coating otherwise the 3M UV Clear Coat Wipes which you overlap and wipe in one direction only otherwise you'll leave streaks on the headlights bro!

thanks. got me to verify the gap between diff and axle. The gap looks strange, when you mount it. Thought it was flush when I took it out. but think i'm mistaking :)

amazing video, would you say the kit is all you need? how necessary is a new clutch, if I only wanted maybe 220hp on stock clutch would that be doable with a 1.8? that oil thing is a great idea, didn't like the idea of drilling a hole
