After over a year of seemingly endless work, I finally take the buggy out for its first shakedown run on a dirt track and share my initial thoughts.
Polaris XC700 Powered Crosskart First Start!
Просмотров 3,1 тыс.2 года назад
Welcome to the channel! I'm in the process of building a crosskart from the ground up powered by a 120HP snowmobile engine from a 1998 Polaris XC700. In this video I'll walk you all through the finishing touches it took to get this thing fired up for the first time!
More content of this go pro something . This is a tease . #respectfully
How much feet of medal did you use total?
About 140 feet of steel total.
I’m gonna be making out soon but can’t figure out what motor to put in it. Either a 670 rotax or a triple of some sort.
Can't beat the sound of a triple
Whichever one you get a good deal on. They'll all make it fast.
@@coldrolledcreations6661I think I found myself a blue head srx 700 triple for it
Any update !
Why don’t more ppl use the 800 artic cat . Is it too big too mount ? I see a lot more rotax 500 / 670 builds
You need a better cameraman lol. Just curious, what snow mobile is it from? Looks fun!!
Check my page out!!! I’ve got a sled powered buggy tooooooo! What are you doing for cooling?
Is it for sale?
No sorry
Where U get the seat
I’m going to make 1

How much does it weigh
I haven't put it on a scale but it I were to guess, around 750lb
Would love to see this thing rip against an rzr at the dunes! Badass man 🤟🏼

Hi your buggy looks like a RS1
Hi very nice build you did I know what you are saying about how long it takes to build a buggy great build.
Wish list material
nice!!
Sounds great, looks great..
Thanks, can't wait to see your buggy rip with the motor swap!
Looking good! I just got my buggy's new engine fired up yesterday, took it around the block, the cops followed me home.. LOL
Awesome, I can't wait for your next video! Hopefully they wanted to talk to you about how cool your buggy is? 😁
epic
Thank you!
Great job, lovin' it!
Oh yeah, I can't wait to show you guys how this thing handles jumps!
Congrats Dave, awesome job! Been following you on Instagram for a while. So cool to see it coming to fruition. 💪
Thank you for the support!
Since you used the Polaris transmission, I would assume this has F-N-R? Also nice to see it worked out so you could build an independent rear suspension. I know people who have used the older chain drive H-L-N-R setup from a Polaris 4x4 ATV, and that made it possible to build a 4x4 buggy with the chain driven front diff. I'd like to one day build something similar to the early John Deere Gator, but make it 4x4 with the Polaris parts. Nothing fast, just a woods crawler/work UTV.
Yes the gearbox is from a 2012 RZR570 so it has P-R-N-L-H. That's what I love about Polaris gearboxes, they give so many options for custom builders. Sounds like you have some good ideas, best of luck on your build!
Kalamazoo? Kellog raceway? Zeeland resident here... had a trike with a 440 engine from a scorpion snowmobile in the 80,s. Dang thing was a blast. Great job.
Hey thanks! This was at a private track in upstate NY.
Badass buggy what engine
Thanks it's a 700cc two stroke
I have swapped the primary clutch spring on my Polaris powered buggy. I run a Trail Boss secondary clutch.. I bought a couple of primary springs, made a big difference... Check out my buggy, swapping from a 488 Fuji to a 593 Liberty right now.. ruclips.net/channel/UCG4yu3qZEzNxekujP3xo3WQ
Sorry I just saw this comment! I've been watching your build closely, awesome to see someone else use a Polaris engine. That 600 is gonna make your buggy fly for sure!
So cool bro! Awesome job on the video and project.
Thanks bro!
That is one MEAN ATV!
It's a lean mean machine haha!
That thing scoots! Great job!
Thanks!!
Do want.
Looks awesome, can’t wait to see it rippin!!
Hopefully soon 👍
Took me about 8-9 months to get mine to operational now I have been messing with it about that long getting all the finishing touches done before I paint it!!!
These projects certainly take a lot of time but it's all worth it. Happy to see yours is almost complete!
