      @giveitatrywithry Probably not, but you would think they would be better than what they are! I spent 350$ on a new Stihl farm boss last year and it's performance is spot on! I don't understand why because they are in competition with each other??

      @giveitatrywithry not sure but that Stihl is the first saw I pick up when I need to cut i keep the husky around just to get me out of a bind if I need it.

    I bought a 3 inch Curt for my HD. So much beefier. The reducer to take it to 2 1/2 left so much play in the connection.

    I just looked up the BW kit on etrailer, and the reviews are that BW is a loose fit, too. Apparently, the slop is part of the design. I do like the handle on the BW hitch, though. It Keeps your hands clean when handling the ball. We all want clean hands handling our balls.

    I would bet in the US of A you can obtain more data that you require better than here in the UK. I have been asked to replace a brocken gear/sprocket on a Jonsered saw my welder pal has. It has a 3/8" - 7 teeth sprocket. It is hard to get the suppliers to say what the I D of the drum is on all of the correct sprockets they supply. The original I D of the drum is 63.8mm. For love nore money I cannot get anyone to put a measure across one of their Husqvarna 36 41 136 137 141 142 drum/sprockets. let alone a vernier! He won't be needing that saw for a few months so I might just be able to get that saw working again with a bit of help re the ID of the Husky drum so long as it's a 7 t -3/8" drive gear. Please can you say that measurement? Great video by the way confirming there are many different power ratios derived from the different sprockets.

      Stihl isn't what they used to be either. I gave up and sold every Stihl product I had years ago. Went to Husqvarna. A few years ago, I picked up Echo too. Best decisions I've ever made. Husqvarna and Echo have saws that crush Stihl. Stihl isn't worth the insane price tag they put on their products. Overpriced and don't last. They were the best 30 years ago. Not anymore. Echo sales are through the roof. Husqvarna sales are high. Stihl sales are at an all-time low. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why.

    I bought the Curt Gooseneck ball system, and was disappointed with the of slop and movement that the ball has in the puck. Evidently Curt is OK with this much tolerance. You can feel the movement every time you stop and start. I then bought a B&W Gooseneck Kit and the quality is much better, with a lot better fit in the puck receiver. I would think with Curt making, or at least designing the hitch and ball they would have a better fit. B&W is American made with American made steel, this prove the old saying, "You get what you pay for".

    Thanks for such a helpful video! My chain guide plate had gotten chewed up as well and needed replacing, and your video showed me exactly what to do. One thing: on my 450, I had to take off that little round black part (with a spring on its shaft) in order to pull the plate off; you didn’t have to remove yours to take the plate off on your saw. I’m wondering-after watching your video again after replacing my plate-if that little part on my saw had been assembled in a wrong order prior to my purchase. (I bought mine used.) Or was the opening on my plate just a shade smaller so it didn’t just slide past that round plastic part? 🤔

    • @giveitatrywithry
      @giveitatrywithry Год назад

      Thanks for your comment. The black part is the pinion that turns the oiler pump. I don't think you have to take it off to replace the chain guide plate. I probably just did out of curiosity.

      Hi Steinar, thanks for commenting. That would make sense by the model numbering convention, but according to the website they are both 50.2 cc or 3.06 cu. in.. Do you have something that says otherwise?

    Winches might drain a lot of power, as both would run together, so definitely, the second control box might definitely help save the battery and load :) Just wondering. Nice setup otherwise.
