How I feel about my locs after 1 year
Thank you for the inspirational Loc journey your hair is so beautiful
Your hair is pretty. The gray looks good, I think I’m going to stop coloring my locs because how it looks on you. I subscribed! Blessings 🥰
Lady your hair is beautiful. Oil and coconut irritates my scalp with locs. Frequent washing and dandruff shampoo is really the best option for healthy locs. Purple shampoos will keep gray hair sparkling.👍🏽
I am loving your loc sister
Hi just wanted to let you know that frizz is normal in the beginning stage as u are. I’m on my 3rd and final journey which is Semi Freeformed 3 yrs in January. no retwisting at all, no products that’s what makes it heavy and attracts lint dirt also makeup.Simply wash 1 to 2xs weekly. Also locs are suppose to be dry. My scalp is perfectly healthy also I mist my hair daily with plain water it loves it!Relax and enjoy, trust the process. Just wash your hair that’s all it needs from you . I never tie it up to sleep also I keep my hands out of it. No need to do the most less is more! You’re gorgeous!
you look beautiful without makeup
Your grey hair is so beautiful and with it loc'd it looks amazing on your face 👌🌹
You and your locs are simply stunning 😍
I’m digging your all gray locs! You should have been a Velaryon in House of Dragons 😃
Gorgeous ❤
Girl, your hair is beautiful. I’ve been loc’d since 21 and still loving it. I find it is freeing, I wish I had done it a long time ago. At 60 yrs old I fnally love my hair. Thank you for sharing.
I am a silver loc sister also I have micro locs with the braids because my hair is so fine, my consultant said the braiding method would be better for me so I did it.. been eight months and it’s doing well but I wish I had all salt hair but I have a lot of pepper in the mix.. your hair is beautiful.
Your locs are beautiful. I'm embracing my gray.
FINALLY, I've found someone in my age bracket on a loc journey. I've made up my mind to start my loc journey next month. I'm leaning towards starting with two strand twist. Loving the color of your hair. Subscribed.
Wow!! Beautiful locs!!😍
Your locs and the natural grey color is nice on you.
Glad you are enjoying the journey. I agree. I do not want my hair all down my back/touching my butt and stuff. No. I have micro locs. I am 3 years into my journey and it has been the best decision I've made for my hair I went natural 14 yrs ago. My locs are past my shoulders but I won't let it get much longer than this. I am hoping that it will even out. But yes I will be keeping it cut.
Your locs are beautiFULL❤❤❤ God is the master artist and He blessed your crown gloriously. That gray is what makes your locs significantly more beautiful. I’m sure everyone will agree. We don’t get to see that everyday but when we do, we recognize the blessing. I’m 2 years loc’d in September. I have microlocs by interloc method. I did my first retie last month and I enjoyed it. My hair just established itself enough for me to be able to do it. It’s no longer marrying at the roots like it did in the beginning so I can actually sit and watch a movie and am able to feel what I’m doing in the back without a mirror. So I get to save some cash and enjoy loving my hair in the process. I too am gray but not fully and still have frizz. My hair has not reached full maturation but it’s getting there. Maybe by year 3. Something just happened, I don’t know exactly what it is but I’m in love with how my hair looks even with the frizz. Everyday I look forward to seeing my hair. I massage my scalp daily and keep it covered most of the time unless I’m going out being cute. I’m still experimenting to see exactly what will work BEST for my hair. Right now I wash at least once a week. Not sure if I’m sold on the leave in conditioner or not so I didn’t use it this week but I massage coconut oil on my scalp with a couple drops of peppermint oil and just a little coconut oil alone to seal in the water on the locs. I’ll spritz my hair with distilled water in between washes when it feels dry. And, that’s it so far. I trimmed the stray ends on Nov. 7 and it gave it the manicure that I didn’t know it needed. So everything is great on my journey🎉 Thank you for sharing yours!!!
Thank you and I'm sure your hair is gorgeous. Do you have to use the shimmer lights or any specific kind of shampoo for your gray. I get so many compliments on my hair, mainly because of the gray.. I'm going to try the oil and peppermint. Thanks and I wish you the best on this journey. Keep saving that money it feels good
Love the grey color very beautiful
❤😅😮
I just started my journey. I started it myself. I do wish I let someone else start it. But love it
Welcome and it has it's ups and downs. Enjoy the journey
🤍🤍🤍Your Locs are breathtakingly gorgeous!!
Have you figured out how to deal with frizzy hair. I have gray frizzy locs too. Please let me know the solution 🙏🏾
@marilynscott5280 no I have not. I think that is just going to be our norm
Good morning Linda, love the decorative glass jars. I am also partial to having a nice stash of napkins. TFS!
Good morning Julia.. the jars was a good find for me. Tfw
great locs!!!!
I am 49, my hair is also white and I just started my loc journey!
Your locs are beautiful. I love the color. I have been loc’d for5 years and I have stopped coloring my hair also.
Your locs are gorgeous! I LOVE VIDEOS and your LOCS are so AMAZING. I'm growing out my black brown dreads, which l've had since the 90s, and finally letting them go Silver. My hair is much like yours, and you treat your hair much like l do mine. Your videos have helped me so much, and l'm probably going to cut the black brown parts of my very long locs off and let the Silver do its thing. I free-form my locs, with a bit of retwist at the roots every now and then. But l just started it letting grow out this April...and yeah, it's a journey! I may just go get starter locs to get me going, some time early next year. I'm also a natural looking make-up chick, like you!Again, thanks for being there for us girls who decided to grow up and grow out!!! ❤❤❤! Can you post the locking gel you use? My hair is medium thick and coily, not kinky, so coiling doesn't stay long, and l need some tough stuff from time to time to make it behave. 😂!
loving your locs...stunning💕💕💕...sis you don't need a drop of makeup...your natural skin and brows are simply gorgeous ❤❤❤💯
Your skin looks amazing ❤
It's always nice and refreshing to watch a fellow grey loc enthusiast. And she's growing so well.
Beautiful Locs!!❤❤
Your locs are beautiful. I hope my mircrolocs get to be pretty and white as yours.
Lovely
Very beautiful makeup free
I’m PRAYING I get your coloring when it’s time for my color to change so lucky
LOVE YOUR HAIR AND LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
I love your hair. I love the fluffiness of your hair. It looks like it is so soft. It does take a while to completely lock. It probably has a lot to do with the texture of your hair, which looks like you have a loose curl when you have had your hair as a loose natural. And yes, I think wearing your bonnet may contain some of the fries but like one of the sisters said that commented free is as part of the journey. I am coming up on almost 4 years October 15 of this year. It has been an amazing journey. I love it. I have no regrets at all, I just now in this last month decided I’m gonna see how my hair does with less re-twisting. Continue on your journey you’re doing amazing. You look amazing. Hang in there.
You have such a beautiful face. You do not need any make up from my perspective. Love the gray locks love them.👌👍
Like #1, congratulations on 1k
Simply beautiful, new subbie. Your locs are 🔥
Thanks Latoya
I am 4 years locs with a new journey because my hair is completely gray. I have always worn locs for twenty years. I pay no one. And yes, I have frizz. My hair is fine and not thick. But I love my locs. The frizz is just your type of hair. I love how you embrace it! I go for 3 months or more no washing. I may retwist in about 6 months or not at all. You do not need a conditioner because your hair is natural, that's why your scalp is dry and itching. You are not given your scalp a chance to produce its natural oil or sebum. You need shampoo (Dr. Bonner's peppermint or whichever one you like) without a lot of ingredients and use one oil (coconut oil for gray hair or castor oil) once a week for your scalp and wear a bonnet at night. You will see a difference in your locs if you try this.
Thank you for the inspiration. I’m in my two year journey. Life has become so easy, no straightening. I have to just shampoo and go. Like you, I do my own interlocking. I also prefer the new growth look, it frames my face well and the way my locks look with the frizz. I like yours and the colour really suits you. I wish there was a hair colour that I could use without the risk of damage.
It's definitely a journey but a good one. Glad you are enjoying it also. My daughter is about 10 months in and she colored her hair before she loc'd it. She only did the tips and has had not problem. But she also bleached her hair. I'm scared of bleach myself
❤ I luv so much of how you see things. I prefer shorter locs as well.
I Love them.
Thanks
I like the fucia butterfly. I love simple designs. Love your locs. ❤
Thanks
Beautiful!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I love your locs!
Your locs are so beautiful.
I've been locked for almost 3 years and I'm barely touching my shoulders. Even if that link when my hair is wet is very heavy. I have no intention in growing waist length locs. I'll let them get longer but I will be someone who trims. You should absolutely be sleeping in your soap on it even though you wouldn't see lent in your hair anyway but it affects the dryness of your hair. If you're sleeping in cotton or even on a cotton pillowcase it's drying your hair out . I also have a lot of gray in my locks and I will say that the coarseness of the gray hair is a little looser. At that length of hair honestly it shouldn't take you more than 40 minutes at the most. You need to oil your scalp. I stopped boiling my scalp 2 years ago. I do an extremely light mixture of essential oil distilled water a little bit of aloe vera juice and a little bit of hair serum to keep my salt and pepper locks moisturize. I do it daily but I also wash my hair about every 7 days. I literally stopped really retwisting my hair more than once a month or every 6 weeks. One of the reasons your scalp is itching is because you're applying oil to your scalp. You don't need to do that because your scalp produces its own sebum. You can wash your hair more often just don't retwist it. Girl with that perfectly gray hair you have when it gets longer you're going to be seen as a goddess! I love my locks and I love the gray in my locks but I honestly can't wait till I even have more gray because it's an extremely Regal look
@ExposedRoot thank you for all the advice. I can already see a difference with me sleeping in my bonnet. Once I get that dryness under control I will be good. I have washed my hair and didn't retwist the back and it had started sticking together. So that is why I retwist after I wash
It looks SO good!
Beautiful locs & colour
