Note if you heard a POP when your lamp died be prepared for some glass shards too... Most of mine were in the assembly still but a few had to be picked up and were on the clear plastic cover mine still had installed.

thx for the explanation, not too much info to be found on the internet. depending on how the projector is used/mounted (normal/flipped, the latter if installed to a ceilint mount for instance), the little flap inside the lamp housing also 'flips' to the correct position making sure that the cooling air of the intake fan is being conducted to the correct place inside the lamp housing (i assume, as heat tends to rise). i had same concern after having just received a new replacement lamp for an old epson eh-tw5000

Hi. I own a Sony vpl vw 360es. I believe it uses h220 lamp. Is it possible to use the bulb from h280 lamp with the h220 housing inside the projector? Cheers

My kids were slamming pillows into the projector. It stopped working that same day. The code said it was the bulb, which was surprising because it maybe had 100 hours on it. I ordered a new bulb from these guys and it shipped and arrived quickly (I think 4 days total). It fixed the problem. I couldn’t be happier!

great video. helped me replace the lamp. mine was ceiling mounted and the projector cover was not closing properly but looking into this video, the person talks about the plastic notch and that helped me resolve my issue. I also got the lamp from pureland and it is working great and prompt delivery. good guys!

Does the replacement bulb need to "warm up" before it reaches full intensity...beyond a typical few minute startup? I bought a replacement and it was very dim compared to the original. I shut it down rather quickly in exasperation, but am wondering if I should leave it sit for a while...

Excellent! Thank You...this was exactly what I was looking for. I got a message saying it was time to replace the bulb. I had 3869 hours on the bulb...5 years of use. The bulb is still working and Im still getting a great picture... but why press my luck!
