Brian faced many odds in his upbringing that darkened his destiny. He however remained resolute despite dropping out of school in grade 8 due to lack of financial support. As a pathway to a successful life, Brian discovered ‘gold’ in farming. He is now able to support himself and the family, owns a hammermill, a shop and has big plans for a brighter future through farming.

His only support, the mother, passed away while he was in grade 12. Victor engaged in any form of business to support his education but to no avail, until he decided to go to the village and start farming. Little did Victor realise that farming is a business, within one season of growing soyabeans he has realised $4,500 and is steadily moving from poverty to prosperity.

Despite being a computer science student, Juma has struggled to find a more rewarding career. Unemployment and lack of job satisfaction made this youth engage in poultry and fish farming that has seen him acquire assets such as a block of houses and a vehicle. He is today described as a mover and shaker of the agriculture sector in the Copperbelt region.

From an initial 2 oxen and a plough he bought, Joshua Mateka now has tractor and cultivates a total of 32 hectares of pigeon peas, soyabeans and maize. Besides cropping Joshua also keep a reasonable herd of cattle and goats. His has currently drilled a borehole and hope to engage in all year round agriculture production.

From the time his father died while he was still a young boy, Emmanuel has had to rely on his mother’s gardening activities for his upbringing. Today at 19 years, Emmanuel has never departed from Vegetable production that he has expanded and adopted as a business. He boasts that even though he plans to pursue a career in medicine, he will never abandon farming.

From selling second hand clothes, shop keeping and being a club DJ, Sammy never undermined his potential as a youth. Sammy realized his passion for fish and is today a proprietor of Palabana Fisheries, a major fishery supplying fingerlings to all parts of the country. Sammy has extended his passion to fellow youths.

As a qualified auto mechanic, Remmy Mungisi has abandoned his career in fixing vehicles to producing something that gives him real joy-farming. starting with only 2 local pigs, Remmy has built an agribusiness empire in crop and livestock farming. He now runs a meat processing plant and argues that man will always need food to eat and therefore someone has to produce it.
