Bennys pistol Maria is a 9mm pistol. The 9mm pistol in new Vegas is based of the browning high power designed by John Moses Browning. The same man who later invented the Colt 1911. They look similar because they’re designed by the same man and are both time tested and amazingly reliable pistols.

If I recall, Maria was quite a solid pistol, and we learned a bit about gun history today :).

@@radioachievements I’m a gun nerd man. I love this kind of thing. Like how the 9mm SMG is actually an M3 Grease Gun which is actually chambered in .45 ACP. There is however a Chinese variant called the type 36 made in 1947 that was an exact clone of the grease gun. It was an inferior copy because it’s missing some features and the parts are not interchangeable

Or how the anti material rifle is based of of a French anti material rifle the PGM Hécate II. It’s not in use by the United States so it’s odd that there are so many instead of a Barrett variant. The closest country to us that uses them is Brazil

It Was Maxed, Damage On The Gun May Have Been A Bit Low.

@@radioachievements Gotta upgrade that gun's receiver then. Combat rifle should be deleting enemies pretty well if it's semi auto and you have your rifleman perk maxed.

@@radioachievements oh you'll need the "gun nut" and "science!" perks maxed out for Weapon crafting. You should be able to put a .308 receiver on that bad boy. I believe you will need and Intelligence stat of 6 to have access to both crafting perks

@@radioachievementsOh tell me about it. In DS1, I had a controller slip that ended in an NPC’s death. I had just entered the DLC and was speaking to Elizabeth the Mushroom. I dropped my controller, and made a heavy attack against her. She was gone after one hit and I was so devastated. Thankfully it wasn’t impactful to any quests.
