My 2 cents say its winter maintenance. Mass uses too much salt and over plow the snow. My guess that dirt road in Maine is one of the last roads to get plowed, nevermind salt.
All funding is going to illegals “ newcomers” for their hotels, welfare, Medicare, section 8, childcare, cell phone, heating assistance, electric assistance
Yes, volume is a major if not primary factor. My thoughts are more on the up keep of the roads in higher traffic areas in Mass. It is not uncommon to see damaged and or disabled vehicles from the road itself.
I'll tell you why. Usually, the evolution of technology makes stuff smaller and cheaper to manufacture, so the better question is, WHY ARE THEY MAKING FUSES LARGER AND EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE? Why is the automotive industry going backwards with this. ANSWER: to make more money. To sell a 2 cents fuse for $8.0 a piece.
It would tear up the bearing very quickly. Usually the crankshaft would be turned and polished at a machine shop, because it is I'm going to try and just clean it up
I like the truck. I need to send you the No Name Nationals stickers you won on the Friday livestream. I have an e-mail address on my channel if you'll let me know where to send them. Thanks for watching!
Personally I would use that block to not only learn but to test what works best to prevent weaping. Seems like brazing is the best but others say it’s not possible with that much carbon in the cast
Granted it's a short read but, you read my mind. I might stitch it braze it weld it, I've welded cast iron a few times with mixed results. Just need to focus on one project at a time!
@@real-worldcontent7745 I didn't do anything with it yet. I was moving it, and spent a few minutes cleaning up what looked like a crack. It turns out it was a bigger crack than I thought it was. It looks repairable but not something I have time for now.

I’m guessing traffic. Roads in a city have cars and trucks on them 24/7, That dirt road appears to only have you on it.

Wow is it beyond fixing???
Maybe but it is worth learning on
300# Emory cloth is actually the proper use for this.
Sounds better
Your not wrong. But this also works, not sure how to show how little pressure I put on the stone.
@@antd1672 I get that but I just can’t help but feel like it’s not doing an effective job.
Those sixes will be running for as long as we have gas !
And after that you can swap your lines and run on ethanol!
U ain’t getting nowhere on that one lol
Probably not, but that's what I'm trying to find out.
What would happen if you just left the rust?

Good luck with the mag check.
Just seen a crack
I thought I saw a few as well
It’s a 300 there’s no reason that thing isn’t gonna run in 15 minutes
Interesting. Hopefully you'll build it
Starting to clean it up now and haven't found any cracks yet.......
@@antd1672 the block looks like a great core. I subbed for the show. Good luck and hopefully you'll get more views.
I came over looking for a engine video. Project videos can be fun. Good luck.
This is an old video, the truck sure isn't pretty but is now a reliable daily driver.
Definitely not junk them ole 300s don't die, thanks for sharing I've a 460 been sitting for years in my driveway, got me thinking.
I was expecting it to be a lot worse, I may have to clean it up now. I've never built one but those 460s are cool.
Just change wooden gears and she will be good as New
Just a little crusty
That doesn't look electrical dude that's is a engine
Ye gotta get that welded back up or get u some 65 mustang rear frames. They’ll match exactly
I wound up replacing it with 3x1 1/2 but I'll keep the mustang rail in mind if we ever do a full restoration on it.
Looking like you have some hard work ahead of you!!!
Is Milltown a junkyard?
Who needs rear spring mounts? Its like riding on a cushion of air.
