0:47 St. Mary's has an electric carillon from Verdin called the Singing Tower Classic or Supreme. The system was playing the 3 bell peel, that's why the system wasn't chiming the hours.

Thanks for this blessing. If y'all could reduce the altar lighting by about 40%, all of the beauty would show though better. It really is a beautiful church.

Thank You for having this beautiful Sunday Mass for all the home bound. Happy 4th of July.
I appreciate everything father Tony is doing for us to come back to mass safely, and I know and understand this is a lot of extra work for everyone involved. I am debating on coming back to mass myself, because my husband is in the high risk category, although he doesn't go to mass, I don't want to make him sick. I would love to come back, but still am praying about it. THANK YOU SO MUCH, for making mass available for us on social media. I LOVE IT, and may continue to do so. THANK YOU, ALL
Dehumanizing us as if we were Muslim females is not acceptable. Health risks of wearing masks are well documented, and the effects can be deadly. Jesus walked among the Lepers, we are called to be like him. Jesus was in continual rebellion against the State, which plotted to kill Him. Knuckling under to the "Health Department" and requiring masks is atrocious, an infringement unacceptable to real Americans. Wearing a mask is a personal decision and there is no reason to try to make it "mandatory". Will we let the State kill us?
Hello Michael, we appreciate your feedback. We are asking that parishioners wear masks during Mass on Bishop Kevin Rhoades' mandate and not only on Governor Holcomb's recommendation. While you are right that we are called to imitate Jesus who walked among Lepers, and that Jesus resisted injustice in governance (e.g. the Sanhedrin and the Romans) recall that He also told His disciples to "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's." St. Paul teaches that all authority (including secular government) comes from God. He encouraged us to respect and pray for those in government (Romans 13:1-7, 1 Timothy 2:1-4). Finally and most importantly, Jesus called us to "Love one another as I have loved you." Wearing masks isn't to protect ourselves, but to protect and care for others (especially those who are vulnerable) as we may be asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19. As St. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13: "If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing." I'm praying for you and for everyone during this time of pandemic May God Our Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit bless us and guide us! Michael J While I can understand your point of view, and do assert your freedom as a citizen of the United States (I presume you are); it is a moot point when it comes to Mother Church. As the article you gave states: “As Pastors, they also reassert the authority of Catholic Bishops to decide autonomously on all that concerns the celebration of Mass and the Sacraments.” They also claim “absolute autonomy” in matters falling within their “immediate jurisdiction,” such as “liturgical norms and ways of administering Communion and the Sacraments.” Bishop Kevin Rhoades has made masks mandatory and according to canon law and the article you furnished, he has every right to do so. If you would like to address the situation in general, masks are a personal choice in your home and out in public and businesses, organizations, communities , etc. have the right to protect themselves and whether they use a gun or a mask, it is their right in the US. We all make choices, to own a gun, to wear a mask, to remain Catholic...the bishop made the prudent choice to do his best to protect his flock and Fr. Tony has made the choice to honor his vow of obedience to his bishop. We also have a choice...many choices: is wearing a mask and accepting the risk of its use worth it to receive the Eucharist? Should I go to church? Should I bend my will, and my rights to the Church, which is guided divinely by the Holy Spirit? How each of us answers is personal and important, AFAIK, the Church won’t make you wear a mask everywhere you go, but it does have the moral authority and right to make it mandatory for one hour, just like Mass.
