season 7 was garbage and people have awful taste, thats the end of it

I just watched it again and after season 3 it went down hill Season 4 feels like it lacks direction and most episodes end so flat and pointless and theres barely any reasonable build ups and it feels that way till season 7 where it feels like the storylines and episodes are more structured and feel like they want u to leave feeling satisfied with a couple of really good episodes and rick feels more human alot more

The thing is, that it’s not only Riven’s puzzles which have gotten easier on the remake. The trend is that every games’s difficulty has decreased steadily during the last 20 years or so, which is equally frustrating and concerning. There’s nothing wrong in challenging someone’s thinking abilities and gaming skills! Easy games are forgettable, hard ones are interesting and timeless.

I have played the original close to 20 times during the last 25 years. I did enjoy many parts of the remake, but I don’t think I’m gonna play it again.

The show isn't bad by any means, but it definitely lost its mainstream appeal. Imo the creators missed the chance to make Rick and Morty HUGE in 2017-2019 by not making Evil Morty the main focus on S4 and not giving fans any answers about it. Although Roiland and Harmon stated they didn't want the show to be plot-driven, that is clearly one reason for the show's rating decline. That said, I still like it. Yes, it doesn't feel fresh anymore and the voice acting is different compared to season one's but I still enjoy it

regarding the spaghetti episode morty’s saying that rick didn’t want to create a scientifical fix but instead found a way to ruin it for everyone as he does. hence “you couldn’t change their tastebuds….but made it distasteful. morty had thought that the suicide made the spaghetti but instead the complexity of life lead to such an amazing and perfect outcome showing the beauty of what life could be. what’s the point morty asks ? asking if everything they had been through was worth it. rick in this situation is an ordinary person who has no care towards weather it was worth it and only focosues on the outcome. hence “ you’re asking if this is a story about right or wrong. what do we do ? morty asks. and rick responds by basically saying how we as humans live is wrong, life itself is wrong. but ending our life is even worse. he’s saying that all of that pain and agony was for nothing. consumers will consume. lives will end. and nobody will bat an eye. he’s saying that behind all of the capatikistic shit going on is issues like suicide and mental health. but those issues don’t have a profit. and if people Could profit off of the mentally unwell that they would. and they do.

you and lots of people dont realize that rick and morty was never supposed to be a linear plot driven show, the writers have even admitted they dont care about it. People understandably got the idea that a scifi somewhat introspective comedy cartoon was supposed to be really deep and meaningful, when that was never the plan. The basic idea of rick and morty was to explore cool unique scifi ideas following the same characters, like bit after bit instead of story driven stuff. The fans taking characters like evil morty seriously and expecting more were the real reason characters like that got lame endings because they were never supposed to meaningful.

As someone who just now watched all seasons for the first time, I think I might be less biased. I personally really didn't feel like the show got worse over time. I didn't even noticed the voice changes tbh, till I heard about it.

You cannot except a show to be great forever. They can't milk the show forever like familyguy.

I guess they did season 1 as a meme to back to the future & then it became popular, so they made it family-friendly for a wider audience to make more money off it, but I wouldn't say it's the creators, they probably receive advice from whoever they're working with.. but Season 1 is far more funny..

The minimum score of 7 for major releases, screams to me access journalism, there are a few notable examples of them bucking that trend. I see IGN as advertising agency, but If I'm honest I use them as a barometer of the the establishment opinion. If I'm lukewarm on something and they slap a 7 on it, I'm relatively confident its not worth my time and I can move on.

This is a problem I have with my piano students when they do their grade exams. The exam board RIAM never gives below 14/20 for each piece. Even when the students perform then really badly. They never give a 20/20 either as a piece can always be improved and will never technically be perfect. So I came up with a 5 star method. 19=5* 18/17=4* 16=3* 15=2* and 14=1*. 16 or 15 out of 20 sounds like a good score but it’s not and when I have to explain this to students they are pretty disappointed. If you saw a 16 or 15 performance you’d probably demand a refund. Don’t think I’m being harsh either. These would be performances with lots of noticeable mistakes, pauses with large gaps of silence, unsteady beat and no dynamics.

I’m personally a gamer, but the overuse of 10/10s infuriates me. I’ve personally played a very wide variety of games and lots of them, and only have a single 10/10 game, The Last of Us Part 1 (2022). From start to finish it has the perfect, most emotional story I’ve seen in any media, is perfectly paced, has arguably the best graphics and animations of any game, arguably the best acting in any game, has 10/10, engaging, replayable, and high quality gameplay, has the best collectibles I’ve quite frankly seen in any game, has a perfectly simple yet effective and fun upgrading system, and has amazing accessibility settings and arguably the best difficulty settings in any game I then go online and see someone call Stray, the definition of a 4/10 or 5/10, a 10/10 (and IGN even gave it an EIGHT) and I’m just thinking “Really??” The game has mediocre graphics, mediocre performance, a terrible story, terrible characters, isn’t emotional at all, is cliched, has cutscenes that are literally just clear video files, has way too many cutscenes which are UNSKIPPABLE, logically makes no sense, and has pretty much no gameplay. It’s also a ripoff because it’s 30 bucks for 4 hours of gameplay and is a game about cats which actually becomes a game about robots in 30 minutes. The only redeeming qualities are that the game is extremely cute, has a good art direction, and has fun collectibles and technically somewhat tolerable replayability because it’s so short and speed running it could maybe be enjoyable to some people (except the cutscenes take up 1/3 of the speedrun which ISNT FUN). People will call anything a 10 and undermine the excellence of actually 10/10s. There is also a problem of people overhating games, which honestly in my experience is usually just people being homophobic or sexist (e.g. Spider-Man 2, TLOU 2), but those are games with actual criticisms and you *usually* don’t see too much of that from game journalists so it’s not the biggest deal.
