Dear Sheikh, do you think it is mandatory to follow one of the 4 schools of thought????

The question was “ who is running Islam in black America.” It was not who’s calling to Allaah in black America.

This history is one of the reasons we should not call ourselves “African Americans.” Not everyone that is black is African. Yet most Arabs look at it that way. It’s mostly the light skinned Arabized Arabs that see it this way.

There are original Arabs and there are Arabized Arabs. Even the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him is from the Arabized Arab lineage.

What is the claim being made here? Is it that Islam does not have racism in it ? Or that Muslims don’t have racism with them?

The racism of the Arabs is not about color it’s about lineage. The Deen is not racist, this is known, but some of the people have racism with them. The Arabs like many cultures have colorism with them also. This they perpetuate even against each other.

When I first learned this information, it disgusted me how deceptive and dishonest many “Muslims” have been concerning history.

This talk is a refutation on the liars and haters ( due to personal reasons ) who said and continue to say this brother pushes a 'Superiority of the Black Man' dawah as opposed to calling to the Quran and Sunnah upon the understanding of the pious scholars of Ahlus Sunnah, who he quoted throughout his talk. And yes, I have been working in Saudi Arabia since 1993 ( the year I met Abu Muslimah, who was the first American from our community to openly call to the salafi dawah and who inspired most of the current graduates of Medinah U, Ummul Qura, Yemen, Egypt) and the Arabs range in shades from caramel to very dark brown, much darker than Abu Muslima. But he hit it on the head. This talk needs several episodes. Love you brother. Abu Ruqayyah.

People dont get what this brother is saying! He is trying to tell you in no uncertain terms that the original Arabs were BLACK! That is a major issue with so many Muslims and the brother should be given credit for it.

What I meant to say is he did not mention one black man in Black History Month. In Black History Month the black history is our history period . It is not referring to Australian, Aborigines, Indians, Ethiopian, Sudanese, Somalia, Kenyans, Arabs, or any other group you named. Nor are we mention in their history. We should have took our dear brother to the Black in Wax Museum and we could have gave him the proper perspective. In our case we didn't have Muslim history and non-Muslim history. We all caught the same hell together. No need to sanitize it.

AsSalaamuAlaikum, How can you give a discussion about the black man and not even one black. Is it Islam or is it him who is seen as erasing their experiences and contributions. A more inclusive approach would be to acknowledge and discuss the experiences of leaders and members of the black community. Let the Arabs tell their own history. And Allah knows best.

Quran gives you many rules to follow, but it does not give you any assurance that you will spend eternity in Heaven. We read that those “Whose scales are heavy” (with good works) “are the successful.” We also read “That those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding” (Qs 23:102-103). There can never be any assurance when your scales are heavy enough. And there is no way to know when your scales are too light. There is only doubt and fear that your works did not outweigh your sin. Doubt and fear can lead to acts of desperation. Many Muslims believe that if they kill a non-Muslim, they are assured a place in heaven. So they murder others and martyr themselves for the assurance of eternal salvation. Isa Al-Masih Was Sent From God to Give Believers Assurance of Eternity in Heaven Isa Al-Masih did not come to weigh sin. He came to forgive sin. He paid the penalty for all human sin when He died on the cross. Those who trust in him are assured of heaven. This is possible because Isa Al-Masih gave his life as a sinless sacrifice and rose again from death. With boldness he announced, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6)! Have you come to him? He still invites you, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28, 29). You Must Repent from Your Sins and Believe on Isa Al-Masih Not all who claim to be Christians have accepted Isa Al-Masih as their Savior. Some merely follow the Christian religion. God does not want religion. God wants a personal relationship with you through Isa Al-Masih. Some people claim to be Christian, but they have never repented from their sin and surrendered their lives to Isa Al-Masih. Only those who have placed their faith in Isa Al-Masih are ready for the Day of Judgment. “Salvation is found in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Are you ready for that Day?

As-salaamu ^alaykum, the athaan caller should review his athaan. If one extends on Allaahu Akbar (as in Allaahu AkbAAR) then it is saying Allaah is a drum. And also just review the arabic alphabet to perfect the pronunciation. I'm surprised this hasn't been addressed.
