Great video. I got Soil Test back and the Potassium level is 13.91 My lawn is approx. 5000 sq ft. I just picked up a 40# 0-0-62. Am I right to add 1 lb/1000 sq ft.? If so, how often do I apply to my lawn?

I purchased a Gardena Hose Reel, I got it 1 use out of it and it failed. There is no real troubleshooting and nothing to fix. I spent a few days trying to contact support, in the end I got my money back. I would not recommend this brand.

I have been using this version of the Gardena Retractable hose reel for 3 years now and have no complaints with it. This unit replaced a battery operated Gardena model that I had for over 5 years before it died. My current retractable unit has started leaking internally, probably at the internal hose connection. Have to figure out how to access the connection and repair it. Havent found any videos on that yet. If you know of one, please let me know. Other than this leak, no problems to report.

Does it really matter what spreader opening I use as long as it’s small enough to cover the entire lawn? In other words if I go with a smaller opening than bag dictates, i can make multiple crossing passes for better coverage Does this make sense?

Thanks for your informative video. I have purchased the same one and same as you i’m really disappointed with the spray nozzle. I already have another watering wand which i was using with my other hose before it broke down. It’s the HOME GARDENER 36" Watering Wand which i love. I am just wondering if it’s possible to replace the little spray nozzle that comes with Gardena with my old watering wand??!

Hey Simon, thanks for the brilliant review, it helped me to made up my mind and went ahead to purchased mine🙂, exactly same model as yours-35 meters of hose length. I got it at 220 E deal and it is on its way home. What worries me is if the hose connector will work with my Karcher K7 water pressure but I believe I can change it in case there is an issue. Agree that it would have been nicer to have handle on top and plastic locking mechanism instead of screw, however will have to live with it. thanks again and stay healthy. ok, I understand what you are saying, BUT. I live in Eastern Ohio and the soil temps are around 44 degree while the air temp is 40 degrees,, then one or two days, we will have about 56 degrees but after that it will drop to 37 to 39 degrees for two days, which will probably make the soil temps about 42 degrees, then after this happens, we will go back up to 46, then 49, then 57 and so on. will I still be able to cut the grass then apply crabgrass preventer down. Oh and I have cool season grass
