Tyrus Wong, a 100 year-old retired artist, shares his journey to the United States to discover the truths about "Gold Mountain".
At a young age Tyrus learned to paint and draw, when he arrived to America he studied hard to build a career out of something he loved to do.
Currently, Tyrus is retired, but continues his passion by creating cards and flying homemade kites out on Santa Monica Beach.

I did not know about Angel Island. I am very happy to have found this video. Check out the history of Ellis Island in New York City. Being an immigrant no matter the color, background, religion or national origin to the United States was difficult, but rewarding. Where would you be if a relative in your past didn’t dare make the journey?

The only part of the island that is still forested is the part that faces Tiburon. The rest was clear cut of all its eucalyptus trees that did a wonderful job of breaking the wind that blows 24/7 because they were not native to the island. Notice how the liberals in Tiburon who ordered the trees cut preserved only the trees in their view of the island.
