It's so interesting to think that how mother goddess durga is an amazing mixture of a tribal goddess ( kotravai) & vedic mother goddess Vak Saraswati. It seems that during the formation of the concept of ma durga, kotravai & Vak Saraswati mixed with each other profoundly. As a result goddess Vak Saraswati's spirit entered into kotravai's body. So, goddess Durga has an physical appearence of kotravai where as she lost the vengeful spirit of kotravai, & become the caring mother of all, the Supreme goddess like vedic Saraswati.

For me, Hinduism is a further development of Zoroastrianism. There are too many branches and deviations from Zoroastrianism to Hinduism due to the undeveloped tradition of writing. This condition, over time, made the process of inheriting the teachings of monotheism contained in Zoroastrianism become very vague due to various deviations in the branches of Hinduism. The above situation is very natural due to the process of teaching knowledge and beliefs only relying on oral traditions, which were very strong at that time. And indeed, many religious teachings have deviated over time. This fate was not unique to Zoroastrianism. Thanks for this. I am glad you clarified the point of "temple complex" as opposed to standalone temples, say at Sanchi or Bhitargaon. Your narration of the Vr̥ṣṇis and Puraṇic elements in the temple complex is fascinating! The issue of "oldest" anything is always tricky. HP Ray, in her book 'Hindu Temple & its sacred landscape' talks about - "...a 600-acre mound in Sanchankot, in the Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh, [with] a complex of five shrines. The earliest of these is an apsidal structure dedicated to the worship of Shiva, as evident from the material artefacts, and dated to the second century BCE to first century CE. Four other temples in the complex belong to a somewhat later first-second century CE period..." - so there will always be contentions...technicalities etc. Admire your presentation of the material in this video in such lucid style!
