So glad the challenge led me to this video - this is in the language/tools that I know! I’ve been trying to get into the refinishing groove and tackling my big pile in the corner of my workshop but haven’t quite found the right thing to get me going. I think this did the trick. Subscribing!

Very pretty!! Could you have soaked those tiny strips in water to make them bendable?? Idk, just asking. Anyway love the outcome!
Thank you so much, yes you can soak it to make them a little more bendable but the wood absorbs the moisture and when you go to glue and clamp them the glue won't be able to penetrate the wood grain as well and would become a weak glue joint

What a great change. I was surprised that you painted it white again after spending time removing the white paint. The addition of the decorative pieces really gave it a vintage feel.
Thank you it was a lot of fun!I knew when I started it that it was going in my daughters house and her house is done in traditional farmhouse so it needed to match which is mainly white and walnut, the original hutch was painted by someone before I got it and they didn't prep it correctly and used a latex paint so it was peeling all over we had to strip it down so we could prep it correctly so that the enamel paint would have a good surface to bond to
