MOA to MILS/MRAD- Scope swap on Savage BA-110 Stealth .338 Lapua
Просмотров 78Месяц назад
Zeroing a new scope can eat up the rounds if you're not careful. Especially if you are going from MOA to MILS. Using DOPE I have on my phone, I make the change pretty quickly and don't burn through the rounds.

Bullet expansion tests, 6.5 Creedmoor at 500 yards, 3 types of projectiles.

The 3 types of projectiles are, Factory HDY ELD-M 140 gr, and 2 types of reloads, 140 gr HDY SST and Sierra MatchKing 140 gr BTHP. What really blew me away was being able to use the same zero of all 3 rounds! Still a sub minute group!
Safety tips for shooting steel targets then shooting 6.5 Creedmoor reloads

Shooting steel targets is a lot of fun and I almost always do, but there are some safety considerations. Oh, and I test out some reloads I made up for my Bergara 6.5 Creedmoor. I used a Federal 210 Large rifle primer and 42.5 grains of Winchester StaBall 6.5 powder, Hornady SST and Sierra MatchKing BTHP both 140 grain projectiles.

Nice vid, ty. I recently bought this revolver and I love it! The weights keep it flat during multiple DAs. Shoots 44 specials like a dream. Mine was accurate out of the box, no adjustment needed. If I were you, I would send that back to Smith & Wesson for some alignment work, whether it be the barrel or the cylinder. 20 clicks out is way too much for a brand new Smith & Wesson!
Hot damn! Nice shootin Tex
No, I was thinking you did amazingly well with that cap and call 😂 no way these are first shots
9mm JHPs are generally designed to expand at a *max of 1100-1200fps. The extra 100-200fps from the super causes more rapid expansion and that expansion limits depth. HPs and the 1911 has a lot to do with ojive and magazine. I have had fantastic luke feeding XTPs, Silvertips and a few others.
Can you do a video on M855 at different ranges (100,200,300,400,500,600,700) i would like to see which range its most effective at.
So that is why the town ran inside for shoot out???
Don’t use hollow points and you may get results closer to your initial expectations.
Great job...and This is qualifying in the USMC. 500 yards on iron sights. I truly don't understand the spectacle around this level of shooting. Literally millions have done it.
I know, I trained 100’s of other Marines how to do that.
The only actual designed replacement for the 5.56. What a great round, just a really bad release with too many chamber errors.
🙂👍

Good video T
Very helpful, I will be watching this video a lot more as I practice!
Great rounds for me in two rifles.
I wonder if the 1/9 twist is a tad slow for the 68gr and you’d get better stabilization with a 1/8 or 1/7
Great video. Any chance you can compare it to the bare muzzle without the brake?
You know, I made this video a few years ago. I don’t use those anymore. I still have them in a parts drawer. 😂 thank you for watching though!
Fantastic to watch! Are you a left handed gun? I’m a southpaw myself so I’d be mighty impressed!!
Yep, southpaw for sure!
The M855 will penetrate through both sides of the old steel pot helmet and liner at 1300 meters, so this isn’t surprising, I guarantee it’s doing well above 1500fps at 500 meters
that blazer 180 had a bigger temporary wound cavity than the bear load did .
You are a f**king gem brother, and I hope your channel grows big-time. Keep up the good work and humor, Semper Fi USAF 2012-present
Best comment ever! Thanks brother!!
👍👍👍‼️
what twist rate did you use?
That’s a 1/9
The clear winner? "Mine's bigger"
WHat twist rate do you have?
Pretty sure YHM barrels are 1/10.
@@WesternOutdoor Thank you. Nice Barrel. found this interesting since i just ordered a WIlson 6.8. before watching. "The SAAMI specs are for 1:10 but 1:11 has become the de facto standard for a number of reasons. Twist rate primarily dictates the heaviest bullets that can be stabilized and the 1:11 stabilizes 85-120 grain bullets fine. Depending on the rifling design most 1:11 barrels produce slightly better velocity/pressure ratios, although there are a few manufacturers who make faster twist 6.8 barrels with the correct bore surface area."
Definitely a beaut!!!
Well said my friend 😂😂😂
Very nice, I had always wanted this model found a 686 model a few years ago. It’s accurate and recoil with .38 is nothing. I have issues with misfires in double action.

What’s going to be on our tree this year?

Those are some ridiculous revolvers 😱What goes through some folk's minds to think that these would be worth wasting money on 🤣🤣 I wonder what an 88 Magnum can shoot through. 🤷♂
I’m not at liberty to discuss that.😂
This was an AWESOME test. It’s crazy to see that at 500 yards, it did what a 9mm does at 100. For all who say that the 556 is nothing at such distances, there you go.
2:14 Great Video T Loved the movie Quotes 😂
Fargin awesome! 😂
looks like bullet construction.is the difference.....the feeding issue takes a full lug feed ramp, not a chamfered chmber edge....see Dan Wesson or Les Bear...
That’s is so cool
Could provide more info on this rifle and also your experience with shooting green tips with a 24 inch barrel? You look like you didnt have much a struggle hitting that target at that distance. So I am curious really about this. What is the muzzle velocity with green tips? Do you have a hard time hitting targets with this rifle shooting green tips? Etc etc.. Thank you.
So, this is a rifle I put together with mostly spare parts I had just lying around. The barrel is made by E. Arthur Brown, the trigger is a Rise Armament RA 434 and the hand guard which I don’t remember the make, all of which I purchased to finish it. As far as muzzle velocity, I’ve never chrono’d it. I assume it picks up at least 50 fps from the 20 inch. When I do chrono ammunition it usually doesn’t match the results most people get because my home is nearly 7000 ft above sea level so my numbers seem to run a little faster than most. As far as having a hard time hitting the target at that distance, well that little 62 grain bullet is losing energy fast at that distance and probably starting to destabilize. With that being said it’s not “easy” but not impossible to have successive hits on target. I really like that 24” barrel, it’s heavy and not fun to pack around but I really enjoy it. It’s a .223 wylde chamber by the way.
@@WesternOutdoor Thank you for your response I am trying to gather as much info as I can out there. I am planning on getting a custom made 24 inch barrel for an ar15 when the times comes. I am planning on shooting only greetips as my go to round. I don't want to shoot anything outside of that round unless there another round that has similar ballistics to it.
Happy Birthday, and Semper Fi!!
Agreed buddy and good video

This from a year ago. HSM has a new 200 gr hard ast bear load. Some guy dropped a large grizzly with his G20.
Handload Berger 130 classic Hunter (.498 B.C. G1) use leverevolution powder. Fully stabilized in my 22" 4 groove 10 twist MTU. Barrel by Bison Armory. Single feeding at the moment but has worked at mag length. Still developing.
Great load. I did exactly the same load. Tikka 6.5 PRC I do have a 300 PRC Bergara. Great rifle.

I have a Ruger 6.8 SPC gas piston. I was told not to shoot SSA LE ammo in spec 1 chamber. Tried to sell it gun store said it was liability with SPC chamber.. ANY answers?
My understanding is that you should stay away from the “hot” loaded “tactical” rounds of you have a spec 1 chamber. Thats about the limit of my expertise with this.
I have the same gun, the store is full of sh!t. To my knowledge there aren’t any ammunition manufacturers currently even loading to spec 2 . The difference would be 223 vs 556, the spec 2 chamber handles more pressure without popping primers.
Is this the SPC ii chamber or the original SPC?
Original, bought way back in Twentytwelve.
Cost of ammunition vs the 9mm?
