I'd have to check the new live album version, but things like this make seeing live performances a reason why you can't just only listen to original studio releases. :-)

@@spazpol Absolutely. Saw them at the House of Blues Boston and then Toads Place New Haven CT but they didn't play Grendel so I truly appreciate this!

Agreed, I love this version of the song. I saw them perform it this way 24 years ago on the Rising Tide tour. I pre-ordered that live record hoping it would be on there. I was disappointed it wasn't but, I hope they'll release an official version one of these days.

Agreed. This is part of the benefit of seeing bands live, getting to hear these variations and sometimes finding them better than an album version.

I saw them live in NYC and I was in the pit and I asked them to play pheurton skeurto and they did and I nearly cried 😭

You're welcome. I do find it pretty convenient we all carry around semi decent recording devices to shows to capture all of this now. If only I had the insight to have done this back in the day.

Thank you. I'm impressed with how well my Samsung Galaxy works out. I guess the only secret is being front and center. Crowd surfers get in the way, but oh well. Its nice to have something to remember all of these shows by now.

@@spazpol Yeah I have a Samsung Galaxy also. An older one, Note 10. I was in the front like you (2nd row actually) in front of the drums. I thought I had captured some great videos until I got home. Every time the bass drum hit I get static. Since it was an outdoor show and a fairly big venue (10,000) it was probably louder and the bass drum was extra loud. Again. Thanks for uploading.
