Siow's Holocron

This is a Star Wars fan channel where I will cover topics I find interesting. These topics can include information about the Lightsaber Forms, Jedi Philosophy, Historical Events, Speculation, etc. The channel is currently in hiatus as I await for some projects related to this channel to be completed before I pick things up and kick it into high gear. Thank you for your patience?
Jedi Occupations - Jedi Service Corps
While those who are sensitive to the Force enough to become Jedi are few and far between, not all of those who can hear the call of the Force can become Jedi Knights. If they are unable to pass the appropriate trials, they may end up being a member of the Jedi Service Corps. But this is by no means a "demotion" of sorts, their work is just as important as that of the Jedi Knights and Masters within the Jedi Order.

Ataru Striker - Jedi Sentinel Occupation
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.4 года назад
The Ataru Striker is a Jedi Knight that specializes in the fourth lightsaber form, Ataru. This is a highly acrobatic form that incorporates a lot of movement and Force-empowered acrobatics to navigate around an opponent quickly to attack unguarded spots. This can prove a very useful form when fighting dangerous predators that are equally fast and aggressive. In these instances, perhaps the best...

I just did everything in this video last night for an hour and a half. Now my neighborhood has a peace agreement and my family is in a civil war.
How many jedi and sith any lightsaber crystal meaning both Legends/EU like all different lightsaber crystals and rare crystals in the galaxy?
so would plo koon be regaurded as part of the education and explorer core?
Jedi kung fu . That sounds pretty cool 😎🥋🥷 kind of like a Jedi Ninja
*Only a thing in RP table top and KOTOR games.*
The best explanation of the workings of a lightsaber yet! Bravo 👏
This is so me. I carry a yellow bladed lightsaber with a curved hilt made of beskar. Specialized in Form 2 and 3.
I love the passion behind this channel! Sentinels are my favourite branch of Jedi.
I would be a Jedi watchman
This was a great video, so great job breaking down and explaining something I've been curious about for years. I just have to say that this seems incredibly cruel. It would be so discouraging to be placed in a core that you had no interest in whatsoever. I would love to either be an archivist or an explorer, of course after I reached the rank of Knight and did so on my terms. I know its just fiction but I feel so bad for those kids who were super excited to live interesting, exciting lives as a Jedi-Knights, getting to see the galaxy and have a lifetime of wild experiences, only to fail and be given the choice of leaving the order, which would probably means to go live as a destitute begger in the sublevels of Coruscant, or to be sent to a farm and live the rest of their lives just toiling on a farm,, bored out of their minds. I feel like that would mentally destroy many young failed padawans. Of course, some will not view it as a punishment, those who enjoy plants and biology and stuff, but if it were me I think the only way I could keep my sanity would be to completely withdraw/ disassociate, just go through the daily motions of a mundane life. Wow, I feel empathic rage for these fictitious kids. That whole conept seems unethical, especially since Jedi are taken as infants. Imagine having absolutly no autonomy, but working your entire life for the possibility of a rewarding and exciting life, then be sent to labor on a farm because you failed, or even worse, no-one wnated you. I know their work is important and Im sure they will be told that mutliple times a day fro the rest of their boring lives, (that would be so aggrivating!) Other Jedi would also tell them "You're still a Jedi, do you think these failures thought of themselves as Jedi? Do you think their peers saw them as equals? Imagine how akward it would be for one of the failures to meet one of their peers they trained with as kids later in life, one would have be trapped on a farm, doing nothing but what is the Jedi equivalent of menial labor, when the other was a Jedi-Knight, one would have self-respect. How could anyone view this as anything but a punishment? Again I know some, if not many would not mind, and some would be genuinly interested in this, but for many this would be the least desirable future for themselves. The other three options wouldnt be so bad, but remember they wouold be 'unranked' in their field, so they just do the crap work that no one else wants to do, do they get to rank up as they gain experience and proficiency in the field? One would have many interesting stories from a life traveling and seeing interesting things and have the oppertunity and resources to learn whatever they wanted; while the failed Jedi would have nothing left to look forward to. That is, of course after they learned the special plant stuff. It' would be an exercise in complete ego death. No wonder the Jedi activly train their students to supress all emotion. I am sure that a large percentage of those assigned to work in the agri-core probably left the order after a few years. I think many of them would desperatly feel the need to live a life where they could have at least some self-respect.

And people wonder why the Jedi went extinct
Come back!
Working on it I can assure you. After making guides for Jedi Survivor, my circadian rhythm was thrown out of whack. I've been taking these past couple of weeks to rest my head via Tears of the Kingdom and building a LEGO X-Wing. Since I've just finished both, I'm going to work on getting the V-Tuber model up and running so I can get started on some preliminary Twitch streams to get accustomed to the model. After that, I'll look further into mocap to have a V-Tuber mocap host for the lightsaber lore series.
I'd love to hear stories of the exploration corp. What they encounter would make for some good stories.
Thank you for shedding light on the Service Corps. It's a very big help for a SW story I'm writing that has a member of the Medical Corp make an appearance.
Nice
Great series! I've really enjoyed it and thank you for your hard work!
I'm an old Star Wars fan, but new to cosplay. I'm working on a Temple Guard who survived Order 66 because he helped some younglings escape from the temple, and is now in hiding as Kenobi is during his miniseries. It's still in the "concept development" stage...
Everyone keeps referring to the "weakness" in the middle where the hilt is for the saberstaff. A staff user doesn't stand still and spin the staff vertically in front of themselves. (Well, except for the Inquisitors silly 'helicopter' blades.) I'm trained in staff techniques, and the spinning motion is constantly shifting from one side to the other, an occasional horizontal spin over the head or around the body, or even behind the back. Just like any type of hand weapon, the user works with and around the weapon.
Under appreciated video and youtuber 😔
thank you! also I know I havent uploaded in a while but I'm actively working on being able to upgrade the quality of my channel. Check out my channel's community tab for info!
@@SiowsHolocron Will do
Can jedi temple guard had lightsaber structure not just jedi Battlemaster cin drallig are they had more than one jedi Battlemaster in the jedi temple?
Could you define what you mean by lightsaber structure? And the battlemaster was a unique title given to one jedi who oversees temple security and lightsaber class curriculum.
Luke Skywalker in Legends did he experience become as jedi Peacekeeper?
Ty for making these playlists!
It is said that knowledge is power but a Jedi seeks knowledge but not power.
I love these so much, im binge'ing them
I beg of you, make a playlist! This is such a good series, and its really annoying going back to the channel and click on the next one.
There are playlists on my channel's playlist tab. It's divided by Guardian, Sentinel and Consular. ruclips.net/user/SiowsHolocronplaylists
@@SiowsHolocron oh shoot, thank you very much, keep up the good work! 👍
@@macbr5554 Apologies for the lack of content as of late, I'm waiting on a 3D model I ordered to get made where I'll use that using mocap animation to replace the PNG. I plan to become a lot more active then as I'll be seeking to monetize the channel in time and hopefully make a living off it.
@@SiowsHolocron That sounds super cool!
Ah, now this would have the job for me if I were a Jedi. 😁
Ah, the Jedi Educational Corps! Now that would be for me, though I wouldn't be smug about it like Jocasta Nu. I'd be a researcher, cataloguer, and scholar working with all that information in the Jedi Archives and helping the patrons as best I can! :D
Just found this channel and I finalky found a more in depth look at the Jedi temple guard. In my opinion, as the Jedi temple itself has wide open spaces and hallways with wide and high ceilinv corridors, templr guards with double bladed lightsabers can switch from soresu, ataru, shien and niman as to take advantage of the wide spaces for different vectors of attack.
I think i would use the saberstaff because I constantly turn on and off my blade, but I would also trap anothers ligtsaber between mine becausse I can flip it around
The Exar Kun method? Nice.
2:00 A material that absorb blaster bullets and is like you wear normal clothes... Who use it? Correct mostly everyone that has a job where he is getting shot with blaster bullets on a daily basis 😂 (No critic to your video but i just think it's funny)
The power of the Force and the usefulness of high technology. Why not get the best of both worlds?
What a nice vid Lovely vid and lovely taste, the intro the outro all of it, and the explanations, I enjoyed this very much. I'm glad I came across this for my outfit research for Temple Guards.
