Never noticed previously, but since the TR adopted those new fangled continuous brakes, drivers clearly feel safer coming into the platform a sight faster than they did when I was last up that way, over a half century ago. Usually a dyed in the wool 'TR bronze green' man, I have to confess I absolutely LOVE No.4's lined grey and from the sound of the beat, Aberystwyth did a bang up job on the overhaul. Thanks so much for posting this clip.👍

If Tall-y-Lin was a full size railway rather than narrow gauge, it would be a lovely one to model. A lot of the architecture would have to be scratch built because the buildings are pretty much unique!!

Farquhar is a wonderful Thomas layout. It’s more prototypical than the average oval of layout track!!

I have one of the actual things that would probably have run on the Cambrian Line. The current version is the Ariva Trains Wales Class 157!! The original would probably have been a GWR Steam Railmotor.

I went on this railway a few years ago. At the end of the round trip, i had a very numb rear end. Anyone thinking of making the journey, take a cushion to sit on. Having said that, it is a good little railway and when I went, they had an excellent cafe and museum at Twywn.
