Hi freebird just found your video because I have just registered the same...maybe we can exchange pieces that we like 😊 nice to hear you play
Thank you for your help
❤️❤️❤️
I practice this number for my lessons !
Very cool! I was just introduced to this book from an online fb group. Fun book!
Thank you so much for this song . This helpt my forward
I appreciate your comment. You are most welcome. Wishing you much fun in your learning and discovering adventure!
Thanks for posting. Was unable to attend the last concert. CBOB sounds great 👍
Thanks John, much appreciated!
Your playing is so amazing. I absolutely love the expression and dynamics. And yes, I have that book, its fun to follow along as you play. These are a little over my head but definitely something to look forward to. Especially with your playing to follow along. Very Inspiring.
Aspenx, THANK YOU! You’ve uplifted and inspired me to begin again and work this book through. If you haven’t already, hit the subscribe button so you’ll be notified where to find it. We need to find a real bass clarinet book so you could join along there as well! If you have one tell me about it, I will look for it. 🎼. (This recording Demnitz B minor is no. 16, page 27)
Where can I find what you are playing? I love it. It's beautiful 😍
Thank you Aspenx, the book is titled ‘Melodious & Progressive Studies’ Book 1, selected and edited by David Hite. It includes the studies from Demnitz, Nocentini, Baermann and Klosé. I purchased my copy from Amazon. Very nice intermediate/advancing intermediate book. More challenge than I may ever get to. 🤓
Sooo I just got a Bass Clarinet 😃 it's a rental, but I was so inspired by your Cello Suites, I had too!!! And this sounds so awesome 👌
Wow, wow ,wow friend, excellent fun and adventurous news! 😎
I am a Beginner/Intermediate on Bass Clarinet. Finger fitness Etudes are so much fun I don’t feel like I’m “working”, just playing with the cool sounds and feels of the music coming through the body, hands, and mind. #clarinetplayground Finger Fitness Etudes Is Dr. Kristen Denny-Chambers invention and boy I THINK SHE NAILED IT! ☺️ #feverforlearning #clarinet #comebackkid #freebirdofparadise Hit LIKE & SUBSCRIBE on my channel if you can relate or just like what I’m sharing. Hope your finding joy in your journey too!
Absolutely phenomenal and Inspiring ❤
Does EOTW amateur, mean the FB group? I'm in it. I saw that heading in some of your older posts.
Yes it does. Pre 2020. Lovely group at the time. Helped me get back into it too. As an adult, I have a lot more patience for going slow until I don’t have to think so hard and the fingers just know. But this book is perfect for making you feel like your doing something wowmazing. Dr. Kristen Denny Chambers started both those FB groups. She’s lovely!
I cant wait to get my hands on a Bass Clarinet. I just bought my daughter & I a horse, so the Bass Clarinet will have to wait a bit.
This etude book got me back into playing clarinet. I cant play near as fast as you yet. Im just a month in at 48 years old. I played in junior high, and then tenor sax in high school. Your playing is so so beautiful.
I'm so glad you did these etudes. I love hearing how they are supposed to sound. It helps me immensely.
I thank you for the encouragement!!
I was thrown off from the get go by my body’s attempt to get comfortable by crossing my legs.🤔😬 Has this ever happened to you? ☺️ This recording is part of a weekly amateur etude group I was participating in online. The goal could never be perfection. Turn a camera on yourself and see what happens lol. For me, mostly the goal in playing and recording is to settle my nerves and play a piece start to finish in a single recording. (Somatic integration?) I give myself a couple to few days of trying to teach my fingers to follow the map, gradually broadening my consciousness to observe speed limits and volume fluctuations. Adult learning is a trip lol! It’s definitely more than just trying to play music. Happy traveling music friends❣️ #learningTOlearn #somaticIntegration #clarinet #journey
I absolutely love this. Your posts are so inspiring ❤ im just getting back into clarinet as an adult. Your channel is SO helpful ☺
Yessss!!! 3 years now for me. What a trip to say the least. It’s much different and “deeper” than when I was a kid. I’m excited for you!
Beautiful playing
I was so thrown off by my leg wanting to cross and get comfortable. 🤪 I decided to leave it in my take, sure that other people might share weird things they do that crops up when trying to focus and play. Thank you for your feedback!
Intervals, Intervals, Intervals...I think that’s what this is called?? Whatever this music is made of its a lot of fun. The low register’s sound and feel make this song very thrilling to play. I almost freaked out at the fermata (thinking about the measure ahead) when I started to squeak. The next measure has a leap from a left hand D to a high Bb and I am struggling to voice through that jump at that tempo (okay okay, at any tempo). There’s a cure for that...practicing regularly. Yeah, that could be a nice start. Ahhh blah blah blah...have fun playing folks. Life is short. If you like this kind of Etudes go check out clarinetplayground.com. Finger fitness Etudes were written by Dr. Kristen Denny-Chambers. Find her on Facebook, find her on the web, just go find her. She writes in such a fun way that any skill level can appreciate and enjoy.
Beautiful!!!!
This song is fun and I was already piddling with it. But then you inspired with your magic music ride. Thank you Jaime❣️😘
Nice to see someone practicing a piece rather than just the finished product. I couldn't find "Modern Waltz - Lester". Any more details on the piece?
Wow, I did not know you sent me a message. Hello Brian from next year 😆. I hope you find this reply in good health and well-being❣️ The book I’m playing from here is 60 Rambles for Clarinet by Leo Lester. You can find it on Amazon. There are clarinet groups for beginners, re-beginners (such as myself) and everything beyond on Facebook. This group is called Etude of the week amateurs. Someone in that group kindly coined us as the come back kids. 😍 There’s another great book we are working on in Clarinet Playground (FB group) called Finger Fitness Etudes written by Dr. Kristen Denny-Chambers. It just came out a few months ago. Super fun book. Check her out! And thanks for encouraging my practice. I never thought I’d get to play again. Here I am just a few years in, doing things I couldn’t as a kid. Bass is super new to me. What a beast!
@@freebirdofparadise Unfortunately I deleted my Facebook account a couple of years ago. Thanks for the info on those books though. I've been playing for two and a half years now and started on Hite's Melodious and Progressive after going through a couple of methods. It's certainly a long term project, but fun. I enjoy your recordings. Reminds me of myself but with twice the skills. 😄 I'm doing very well thank you. Clarinet has helped keep me sane. Love your bass clarinet also.♥️
@@bririch7 I’m over FB too, the clarinets are faintly the last thing I cling to there. The Hite book is the other one I worked a portion through with that group (mostly Demnitz section). Anyhow, check out this kid, I could listen to his cover songs over and over and just have a good time. It’s inspiring, I never imagined clarinets playing like this. I love RUclips! ruclips.net/p/PLgBUFnYeI7J0vrYDj_57WX7lT-FW70bSH I subscribed to your channel, hope you share something from your journey one day!
This is really nice! I love how much you went for the dynamics and style! Thanks for posting.
I just finished learning this one. I'm not quite up to speed yet. You played it beautifully. Thank you for posting.
I haven't played at least the last 3 Nocentini's. They are increasing in difficulty and I have lost a little patience with technical music. Hooked on some fun playing right now...learning to play bass. Brian did you record yours?
@@freebirdofparadise To record that many Nocentini is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations. I've almost learned the second one now but because I've only been playing for 18 months (I'm 65) they are taking too long. So after I finish it next week I'm going to go back to the start and work on the Demnitz studies. Build up better finger memory. :-) If I can't learn something in a week or two I get bored with it. I've recorded a little bit for bandmates and my teacher but it won't be posted unless to illustrate beginner struggles. Thank you for posting. It helps me learn.
Brian Richard we have a lot in common. I just started (again after 27yrs) two years ago. Enjoy yourself and I hope our paths cross again!
Thank you very much for posting this. I'm just starting to work on it and wanted to hear how it goes. Well done.
Nice job kid!
Wayne Rowand Thank you! Wish I were near you to learn a thing or two. I plan on sticking with it. Heading towards learning jazz improv and klezmer. Been a long year with lots of practicing. I know you know!
