I did this bout over a day ago on my 2nd attempt it was Hard but i beat it.

Monsoon having a whole villain monologue while Sam is bored in the background and one of the goons is playing with a cat is really funny. Both of them are already tuned out and this is extremely short compared to a standard Metal Gear villain speech.

You know, I had never considered why Julius was the secret boss before, but he's from a short where he steals Mickey's body. Considering Xehanort's plan in this game, that's fairly fitting.

Can't believe Mezzo skipped Coded, the most thematically relevant game to this one. And the funniest part is that's not even a joke.

Jumba is a "villain". He used to be co-workers with the actual antagonist of the Lilo and Stitch universe, but he basically is more of a guy who loudly reminds people that he used to be evil rather than actually someone who does anything evil.

Xehanort isn't wrong about Eraqus, but the rest of that speech was just emotional manipulation.

Boy howdy, do I hate everything in the cutscene after Trinity Armor, so let's count the ways the scene rubs me the wrong way. First, Ven says that Vanitas is history even though he not only did not kill him, but he never even told anyone about seeing him in the first place! This then leads to Aqua accusing Terra of not doing what Eraqus told him to (even though he is), which Terra... implicitly agrees with for some reason? Aqua then goes on to say that she's seen all kinds of terrible things that Terra is done and, as we've done Terra's story first, we see that he's done basically nothing and Aqua is full of shit. Literally the only thing she's aware of is Maleficent vaguely saying that Terra did a bad once. Terra gets upset about being spied on, which is a little silly, but undoubtedly he's upset at himself in part for getting brainwashed by Maleficent, so I can forgive that a bit. Ven then accuses Aqua of being stuck up ever since she became a Master, which is just... what? Literally the only thing she's doing is observing Terra in Eraqus' absence, which is kind of necessary for a make-up test (y'know, like the one Terra is supposed to be undergoing!?) and trying to bring Ven back home so he doesn't get into trouble. Also, later on, Ven just spontaneously stops being angry at Aqua and she doesn't even try to take him back home! Finally, Terra doesn't even tell Aqua that he found Master Xehanort, which is the whole reason they both left home!

Honestly, Xehanort isn't a terrible manipulator. He's actually telling (most of) the truth regarding Vanitas, and has done nothing suspicious thus far aside from leave the Land of Departure (which shouldn't be all that weird, given the name of the place...) and talk to Maleficent. If anything, I'm more baffled by Terra accusing Xehanort of doing things in other worlds, when he hasn't really. There's one thing he did that we find out about later, but Terra doesn't know that yet!

A later scene confirms that Xehanort was the one who did things here, so Terra was really just briefly mind-controlled by Maleficent to swing his Keyblade around a bit before regaining control. Hooray, gaslighting!

So, the thing about Terra being gullible! While it is true, to an extent, he also genuinely has no reason to distrust Master Xehanort at present. For starters, Master Xehanort is saying things that Terra wants to hear, but also alluding to some genuine truths about the flaws in Eraqus' teachings. But there's also the fact that Xehanort being here at all is implicit trust on Eraqus' part, and so I'm a lot angrier at Eraqus for having Xehanort here, especially in light of what we learn about their relationship later!

That whole scene on the cliff is very awkwardly done. Maleficent comes in and declares she's evil, jobs, then does a villainous sacrifice, jobs again, Sora mopes a bit, and then Maleficent successfully does a villainous sacrifice. The scene loses nothing if Maleficent successfully whisks Sora and Co. away during her declaration of revenge!

Have you heard the delivery of "Silence, traitor." in Japanese? It's really creepy. Demyx just loses all emotion in his voice.

It still sounds like Oogie is saying "Pog, baby!" during his boss fight. Also, Oogie should just have tried to become the Seven Holiday King instead of working with Maleficent.
