I can just imagine how thrilled teams would be to have a "long throw" competition at the all-star game, having one of their players ruin their arm trying to win that trophy. You know it would eventually happen so I don't think that's something we'll ever see.

GOAT. He played during the juiced ball era but was on his way to becoming the GOAT before using steroids. He was a prodigy that was seen as an asshole because he knew his worth. Just FYI as an ex pro ball player (albeit briefly) and current steroid user and "expert". testosterone was around in the 1930s and was being WIDELY used in sports by the early 60s. I would not be at all surprised if many of the hall of farmers from the 60s,70s,70s were using gear. Especially considering it was not illegal until 1990. PEDs are part of ALL sports. The only way to level the playing field is to let everyone have free reign under doctors supervision. What will happen? Guys like shohei will still be the star of the league but won't get hurt as often and or will have an extra 3 or 4 Years on their career. Steroids will not take you from Dustin pedroia to Mike trout.
