The purpose of the tea ceremony is not to drink the best-tasting tea but is About enjoying the moment and remembering that this very moment will never come back again. The tea ceremony is quite similar to meditation. When we are participating in the ceremony we have to forget about everything and just focus on drinking tea in harmony. Building on this philosophy, Rikyu introduced the 4 main pri...

How to Whisk Tea, Tea Ceremony Osaka Maikoya
Are photos aloud?
Seeing this game me so much anxiety seeing as how the tourists have been recently. 😰
The tea room is so beautiful.
On my list of place to see when lm in Kyoto in September 2024
Where is this tea ceremony? With the water looks beautiful
What a beautiful setting.
This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
It has been impossible to get reservations at this place
You just need to book (requires prepayment) far enough in advance through their website.
She clearly has Canadian blood in her based on the many times she's been polite throughout the entire video
Beautiful 😍
Beautiful
Great video, thank you so very much! However, I would like to bring your attention that one very important word is misspelled in the (original version of the) video. The meaning of TRANSIENCE is the quality or state of being transient. There is no C as the word is not related to science at all.
Waiting for Japan to reopen borders!!! Love Japan!🇯🇵🇮🇹❤️ As soon as possible I'll come to Maikoya for sure!🙏
I love how the one of the two guys looks like Logan Paul. Hilarious 😂
-deeply breathes- This is why I'm a tea student. Thank you for your beautiful video.
What rubbish
What is?
This is dispectful hiyah
hiyah is chinese isnt it? lol. but yeah, totally, yikes! lol
Your saying please often reminds me of Japanese polite wars. I miss Japan so much, especially Okinawa. Thank you so much for your videos!
I have a Japanese tea ceremony I am performing tomorrow for a university school project and this was an awesome, terse video. The angle you shot at was helpful and easy to follow along. Thank you so much, I feel very confident now!
Saludos desde México, aquí también se bebe buen té! 👋🍵
Don't learn anything from this high school idiocity.
"Kimono Tea Ceremony Maikoya was an extraordinary and unique experience in which our guests were exposed to the cultural background and significance of the traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. They welcomed us in a very warm and personalized tea room where every person in the room was participating with us virtually. The tea garden was a beautiful tour as well. For English speakers unfamiliar with this experience, fret not because they make you feel so comfortable and even teach you some Japanese! The only thing we yearned for while attending this event was to be there in person. Highly recommended!" from Erika M., Product Marketing Managers Team at Google
Thank you for the amazing opportunity! Your tea ceremonies are truly a relaxing experience. Looking forward to my next one :)
Our pleasure!

Have you ever tried a Japanese tea ceremony (茶道, sadō or chadō)? Comment your experiences below! Fun fact: The ritualized tea ceremony is widely practiced in China and Korea too! The Japanese tea ceremony, however, was heavily influenced by Sen no Rikyu.
Respect, discipline, patience all in one ritual
This is so 😖😨😬🤐🤫😰. I know people like that well I don't associate with people like that but I know people like that 😏. It's kinda funny how one of them from one pamphlet seemed to have 20 years experience of cha no yu 😏🤭😌. Also I am amazed there are gender neutral Kimonos 😍 I need some.
I wish we had a tea house here. :( luckely I can prepare my own as well as for others in my home and give friends a taste of what it is like.
Hi there, Marian! You can still have a tea ceremony with us since we're available online now 😍 Check out our online session and you can even invite your friends --->>> mai-ko.com/tour/online-tea-ceremony-by-kyoto-maikoya/
