Mike Wolpin Performing with Mr. Stress Blues Band
Просмотров 69213 лет назад
This is Mike Wolpin's performance with the Mr. Stress Blues Band at Simi Valley Town Center, September 3, 2011. Note: The camera was right next to the amp for the sax, so it recorded the sax above everything else, including Mike's vocals.
Spirit of Pocahontas
Просмотров 21 тыс.14 лет назад
This is most of the Spirit of Pocahontas performance on April 24, 1997, Disneyland, Anaheim, California. There were challenges to shooting this one. A tall gentleman with an incredibly brilliant blue cap was right in front of me and would occasionally lean in front of the camera. And, some people left in the middle of the show. Thus, some songs got cut short.

Mulan Parade, Main Street, Disneyland, August 26, 1998. As long promised, here it is - the complete Mulan Parade. This part is from the start of the parade to the long dragon. Unlike the earlier posted video, this one is remastered from the original 8mm camcorder tape. So, sit back, relax, 'cuz the Mulan Parade is on it's way!
Mulan Parade, Disneyland 1998, Part 2

Mulan Parade, Main Street, Disneyland, August 26, 1998. The is the parade after the long dragon. There are acrobats, drummers, stilt walkers, and Mulan portrayed by an actress. It is apparent that I missed some performances, as this was my first time seeing the parade. However, after viewing the other two performances, this one overall seems the best.

USN Destroyer Operations 1971 to 1973
Просмотров 9 тыс.15 лет назад
This is not a spectacular ships at sea video. This is shaky movie footage shot by a young sailor recording his travels with a hand-held, Super 8 mm movie camera. The movies were taken during SoCal Ops, a midshipman cruise, and the 1972 - 1973 WestPac cruise of the USS Leonard F. Mason (DD-852), the ship I was on from 1971 to 1974. Locations seen in the video are San Francisco, Pago Pago, Americ...

Underway replenishment of US Navy ships in the Tonkin Gulf during the Vietnam War (during the final combat operations before cease fire - late December 1972 or one of the first few days of January 1973). I filmed this while on board the USN Destroyer USS Leonard F. Mason (DD-852). I was hand holding a Yashica Super 8 mm movie camera and had to stop filming every few seconds to clean the UV filt...

Some years ago, a B17 was on display at Van Nuys Airport in Southern California. This video shows the engine start (all four of them) and the aircraft performing a high speed flyover of runway 16R.
Mulan Parade, Disneyland, 1998

The first 3 minutes of the Mulan Parade, Main Street, Disneyland, August 26, 1998. This is another video I found from an archive, corrected the aspect ratio, and enhanced the audio track. I actually videotaped three complete Mulan parades - this was the first one. Enjoy!
Lion King Celebration - Circle of Life
Просмотров 18 тыс.16 лет назад
This is the entire Circle of Life performance of the Lion King Celebration parade, Main Street, Disneyland. I recovered this video from an old render with distorted aspect ratio. After fixing it in Vegas Movie Studio, here it is. Since this is a render of a render, the quality is not very good. When I get a video capture device, I'll recapture this from the original tape (8mm Sony camcorder) an...

Hi, looks like it's been a while since one has commented on this video. But, I'm going to take a stab at it in case one may read this. For those of you who served on USS Leonard F. Mason back in the 1960 to late 1976; I am wondering if any of you remember Marlyn Knutson aka: "Le Salte". He served during both the Korean and Vietnam War. My name is Julie; I am Marlyn's niece, my father was his brother. Marlyn died young at the age of 42 in a single car crash just a few months after he retired from the Navy. We (meaning myself and my brother) don't know much about him, but I would like to know some stories of him and what he was like while he was serving. If you knew him, please reach out and let me know....I'd love to connect. My email is DotterofKnut@gmail.com. Thanks guys for your service.
Hi. The Facebook page "USS Leonard F. Mason Alumni" is where most of the ship's crew hang out. Someone there is likely to know of him.
