Even for an old geezer, like me, this was a total pleasure to watch. Well made and with excellent actors, everybody involved with this deserves to feel very proud of themselves. ❤

This series just appeared in my recommendations, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it. Inhabiting the same world as SKAM, it is the first Czeck webseries I know of with a gay theme and in 10 short episodes told a compelling and dramatic storyline that is socially relevant and addresses many issues that affect this generation of older teens. The gay storyline features the out Pavel and his best friend Lukas who after the fake school shooting incident spend the night together, ostensibly because Lukas, who has PTSD, was traumatised by it and the moment arises where he feels he has to kiss Pavel, who responds with passion. They go through a few ups and downs, but it makes Lukas come to terms with his feelings for Pavel to the extent that he's able to tell him he loves him in front of the entire floorball team right after he quits it, but it still takes time for Pavel to accept that Lukas is for real and they finally reconcile on the dance floor at a party held at their school. When the floorball team needed to elect a new captain, it was refreshing to see they chose Pavel whose elevation was greeted with cheers by the team members. Similarly, when Lukas and Pavel enter the throng of dancers, they are just another couple who can embrace and kiss each other without anyone raising eyebrows. All up, this was a finely executed production with a uniformly excellent cast. I hope to see more gay storylines from XYCZ2.
